I think the picture is mediocre. I like the style of the picture and the effect the picture has over all, but that's it.
Personally, I think she looks painfully thin yet the position of her face makes her cherubic features look bloated. Her expression is lifeless and this scene would be better suited for an older, more world-weary face.
Tha fact that it's Annie Leibovitz' work lends to it's artistic integrity, but if Miley's ex-boyfriend had taken the pic while on vacation in Mexico, it would be considered paparazzi trash.
I don't give a hoot about any of that other stuff. Celebrities open them selves up for this kind of crap and it doesn't make a poop to me. What's right and what's art? :shrug:

OK, I just asked my daughter and her friends what they thought of the picture and they all agree that it's a decent photo, but not for Hannah Montana.
I got these comments:
Eww, that's nasty. That's not even her.
The parents of her fans won't like that.
I don't like her anyway, she's annoying.
She's too bony.
That's not what a pop-star does.
At least I know these three girls aren't ready for a nude photoshoot at 10-11 years old.

This is VERY true.
After seeing your previous posts, I was kind of waiting for this.
Pete's post is funny on the surface but it's a sad commentary to the moral decline of this country. I find nothing humorous about the "whoring" of one's own 15 year old kid.

That is old news.
Just because a bunch of little skanks are doing it does not make it okay for her to do it. I've seen other pics too but for some reason I cannot find them. Fact is, she is supposed to be a girl that kids can idolize. She's not.
