Miss Blue settling in...

Tomorrow will make 2 weeks.

This morning, Miss Blue, Cooper and Buff had a peace conference over the mouse tail toy.

Cats are curious creatures, but the three are stil staying in their spaces. It won’t be long before they are best buds. Great pic!

When I got home from work today, after having left the door open to the "nursery"
while both humans were gone to work, found Miss Blue in the "cave" of the kitty tree.
Both boys were in the room, sleeping under the quilt.

Saw no tufts of fur anywhere they would have been while all alone.

I think the boys are seeing Miss Blue as a continuation of Miss Teia.

Glad to hear it is working out, and you have a peaceable kingdom.

Just another thought before I go nite nite. I have, always, thought that my beloved pets that are gone, continue to live through current pets. You see similarities, and remember. They are never forgotten. Miss B is one lucky kitty. Miss T would approve. The rainbow bridge and all.

3 good developments...

1.) Blue jumped up on the couch yesterday and lay against my leg for about 10 minutes while accepting ear scritches
2.) Last night, she jumped up on the bed and snuggled for close to half an hour, purring up a storm.

These two are good, as her previous people did not allow her in the bedroom, nor on the furniture.
I will not think ill of them. Different folks have their way of relating to pets.

3.) This morning, she let me pick her up, briefly. No panic or complaint, but could tell when enough was enough.

This'll come in handy Friday when I have to get her in the carrier for a trip to the vet. She's overdue for her annual.

Miss Blue had a good vet visit today. She was very friendly to these new people, let them handle her, purred up a storm. Opened the carrier up on the exam table, after several minutes, Blue decided she liked floor level better. Vet and vet tech examined her at floor level.

Learned that her birthday is 26 August 2006.

She looked fine on most everything from the physical exam, except a bit of tartar and gingivitis. Vet recommended trying to get her to let us brush her teeth, or try kitty dental treats.

Blue weighs 9 1/2#, is in good condition, has up to date shots, waiting on senior blood panel results.

Blue and Cooper had a couple little spats yesterday.
I think he wants a more committed relationship, but she isn't ready yet.
No fur flew, but the hisses and growls did.

He did bop her on the behind the first time.
Looked like what he or Buff would do when they tried to get Miss Teia to play.

Buff is a goof burger...snagged a celery bag out of the trash and played with it for over 15 minutes.

Miss Blue spent quite a bit of time downstairs today, including quality time on the catnip laden scratch pad.

He's about as dark grey as a kitty can get without being black.
