Ever wonder why so many kids get adopted from overseas when so many kids here just waste away in the system?

No, never wondered. I know folks that adopted from overseas and every one said the :bs: you had to go through to adopt here was insane.
Guy I work with has a Chinese kid. Said going there and getting her was the trip of a life time. Toured the country and stayed in great hotels. Approval was a lot easier and he said it cost less than the legal fees here.

you can thank the liberal judicial system for that.

Parents adopt a kid. 10 yrs later, said crack whore mother whom left her kid on the steps of walmart, wants her child back.

Kids get ripped away from adopted parents....

Sorry, but I wouldnt want to ever go through that!!!!!!!

I don't really see how this is any different, or worse, than dumping a baby on the steps of a church. The end result is that the child will end up in a loving and caring forever home :cheesy:

That was my thought.

There's no man hunt ongoing for the mother that killed her child. She was in over her head, and didn't make a great choice, but it's a hell of a lot better choice than others have made.

I'd rather read this story, than one of a two year olds body being found in a dumpster.

She won't win a medal for what she did, but...

...knows? Her life could be so ####ed up that she just saved the kids life by keeping him away from her psycho boyfriend/childs father.

Try to put yourselves in this womans shoes.. He is an adorable boy (would it make a difference if he wasn't?).. I'm sure she loves him, but i assume she knew she couldn't do it, and was trying to think what was best for him.

Can you imagine getting to the point of realization that the most important being in your life, you can't help, you can't have. The desperation she must have felt when she left him standing in Wal Mart?

This was not, apparently, a neglected nor an abused child. This looks like a child from a mother that loved him, that tried to take care of him, but realized that for him to have a good life, a better life, he had to go be with someone else.

Exactly. So many different scenarios, where this could have been the best option for the child.. Sad, but reality.

I hate to say it but... If Mom was willing to abandon baby, the child is much better off now.

Why would she leave him at Walmart instead of a hospital or police station? True, maybe she was so desperate she had to do what she thought was best. But Walmart?

If it's true that the mom did this thinking it was in the kid's best interest, I can only imagine the heart-ache she felt as she was walking away from her child, knowing it was the last time she'd ever see him. I could never do that to one of my kids. I would do anything I'd have to so that we could all be safe and together. I even feel alittle sad putting them to bed at night because I know I won't see or hear from them until 3pm the next day.
