Take the Motorcycle safety course also, if you have not rode before. Good Luck!
Funny you should mention that... I was helping a friend and doing some electrical side work a few months ago at a southern maryland college and they were having one of those all day courses there for the motor cyclers at the same time, its hard to ignore them as you are out there outside about 50 yards away, etc... the driver kept trying to instruct the students on the bikes to look at him... keep eye contact on him, as they go round and round in circles, etc... (I guess to get comfortable and trust the bike).... one lady kept looking at him until she drove right into him
:
: It took everything I had to pretend I wasn't busting a gut and being nosey and watching hysterically - they caused such a scene and everything stopped, it was hard not to notice! ...
He was upset at her (adrenalin?) and vice versa... he said he'd NEVER been hit by a student before and she was mad at him for telling her to look at him because thats where she ended up steering.
Poor lady... she was embarassed in the end and I think instructor made sure to keep an eye on her the rest of the day
I think they both were able to laugh at it by the end of the day though.... no harmful injuries
