I thought this picture was funny.
I've been following this thread, haven't commented yet. Was waiting to see how things were going. Saying prayers for your girl and sending best wishes to you all.
I came across this earlier and thought I'd post it for you KDENISE.

Don't give up hope just yet! She's not finished with her medicine. What an adorable picture of her mouth stuffed with her ball!Thank you, she's doing quite well getting around the house and even is going up and down stairs now without help !!!
Hopefully he is just playing a game, he is teasing you.Got a call tonight from Dr.Weigt She said all tests for toxins or tick borne diseases are negative. So that's good yes. But leaves us absolutely having no idea
Hope it helps. Don't let them nickel & dime you. I might wait to see if the medicine helps. On to a neurologist, the vet still thinks this is something treatable like an auto immune disease or disorder.

He opthomologist actually recommends it at this point. She said it's not likely it's an eye problem but a brain issue
Thanks Mig appointment is made for Monday. The ophthalmologist gave me hope last night, she said she STILL thinks this is a treatable condition. She keeps saying it's an auto immune condition??
Auto Immune Condition is a catch all phrase for doctors, and probably vets. It means they aren't sure but the symptoms all point in one direction, a grab bag of several likely choices that could be something in that particular category. However, what the underlying cause of the condition is, they just don't know.
Now, just because they may not know the specifics, does not mean that they can't treat it. There are a lot of things that are in the same catch-all category that respond to the same medical treatment.
So optimism is good.
Have they ruled out Cushing's disease and SARDS? My old dog had Cushing's disease and I was told it could cause SARDS. We had several quality years, even after diagnosis. I found a link.

yeah. I'm kind of freaking out because now it's quite obvious she can't see at all. I get uneasy with her even going outside now because I know she's scared. SO I get to rush home from work (45 minutes) to grab her and drive up to BOWIE another 45 minutes at least ..,, no idea what they are gonna do. I'm assuming a MRIFingers crossed for tomorrow!
Do you think she may sense your anxiety, which in turn causes her to be scared.? I was devastated when I found out my boston girl was deaf at birth, but it isn't the end of the world. If her blindness is permanent, both of you will get use to it in time. You'll see. Hang in there, and let us know about the appointment. Again, fingers crossed that there is a simple solution to this.yeah. I'm kind of freaking out because now it's quite obvious she can't see at all.
