My electric bill just doubled

We're gone 8-9 hours of the day, and our electric bill is still $150 per month. Then again, we do loads and loads of laundry a week, and a lot of lights are on in the house all night. Two adults and two girls - we're always in different rooms. 
It is crazy, just crazy. My husband has been like a Nazi, lights off, TV off, digging in the laundry getting on the kids "I didn't see you wear this, back in the closet," hot tub got turned down, and our front storm door on our house blew off so we want to make sure we get a really well sealed one since the one we had was not.

Im the neo nazi in my house, no more than 3 lights on at a time, I try to keep it at 2, 1 tv, heat is set at 68 and stays, haha.. no cooking on the oven or stove more than twice a week.. haha... I do alot of grillin

I try to do that but someone says that I yell at the girls to much or at her.
