Hey Bob, I'll help you bury her if you'll let me ride the new bike.

That is a beast!itsbob said:Next bike...
I like it. No spokes?Vince said:I want this, but I'll have to wait until Spring.
I like Andy's V-Strom.. Nice ride, tall, and sticks out from the crowd.ylexot said:My next bike...TBD. Currently on the list:
BMW K1200R
Suzuki V-Strom
Triumph Tigre
Yamaha FZ6 or FZ1
Basically, I think my next bike will be a semi-faired/minimally faired sport-touring type bike. I want something that I can put hard bags on, can still lean it over in the turns, and will be comfortable for long rides. It'll probably be a couple years though...
8.5 gallon fuel tank, gets over 50 miles to the gallon (I think 60 is advertised), and from what I've heard it looks like a beast but you won't believe the ride or it's cornering ability.. Out of the top 500 cornering bikes (I think PT provided the list) this bike was #5 on the list.. ahead of a LOT of sport bikes.desertrat said:That is a beast!
That's one of the reasons it will be a couple years...I should get proficient with this one first.itsbob said:The K1200R is a ROCKET!
I'm assuming that is with street tires instead of knobbies?itsbob said:8.5 gallon fuel tank, gets over 50 miles to the gallon (I think 60 is advertised), and from what I've heard it looks like a beast but you won't believe the ride or it's cornering ability.. His is fairly light, also, I believe. I just notice the rabbit and the tin-foil outfit he wears.itsbob said:I like Andy's V-Strom.. Nice ride, tall, and sticks out from the crowd.
You always know when you see him on the road.
I haven't ridden any of the K bikes yet.. I was told if I don't want to make the payments to stay off of 'em. BUT you don't have to buy one if you just want to take one out for a ride... The K1200R is a ROCKET!
One possible candidate for next bike.ylexot said:That's one of the reasons it will be a couple years...I should get proficient with this one first.
Or not.desertrat said:One possible candidate for next bike.
Tourances Dual Sport.. even the knobbies you see in the picture are a pretty smooth ride.ylexot said:I'm assuming that is with street tires instead of knobbies?

I LIKE the FJR.. and the St1300/1400desertrat said:One possible candidate for next bike.
Yeah, I was seriously considering that, but I decided that I wanted less fairing. Plus the fuel economy on it sucks (relatively speaking).desertrat said:One possible candidate for next bike.
At least!itsbob said:I LIKE the FJR.. and the St1300/1400
Kaw came out with a new model this year too, the Concours 1400
Hell, if I was rich I'd own all three of them.
The killer rabbit on the back helps with thatitsbob said:I like Andy's V-Strom.. You always know when you see him on the road!
