Nope, it's all personal preference..

Just get out and ride.

OOPS,I read it as "Why does it matter what you ride?"

I've been thinking aobut it a lot lately.. I've seen the Kisan and I like it.
Here's the one I have. Works great and it's cheaper than the Kisan.

I started turning my high beam off when going on base because the guards usually tell me that my headlight is flashing. I also decided to carry around a copy of the law that says you are allowed to have it...just in case.

With-in the Biking community there is a lot of 'my bike is better than yours" as you've seen here. I just think that if you are a rider, that's all that counts. That makes us all One community. I'm not into petty "Mine is bigger than yours" crap.

Not saying riders are better than non riders...don't get touchy. Just that I don't care what anyone rides. I don't judge. I just like to ride. Before as the backseat B1tch., Now as the...well riding B1tch!

None of the bikes have stock seats, thats the first change. Mustang makes the best seats. Wider for bucket, so I fit well, etc. And I need a back rest. Yep I'm a couch type. And thats fine by me. I like to be comfortable when I ride. That way I can ride longer.

I was looking into this this summer.. Wanted a Corbin, but for both the front and back it's like $800. I know the Corbin would be more comfortable, but after an 800 mile day I can still walk, and my back doesn't hurt, so the seat can wait.

My coworkers are Harley riders and I ride a sport bike. We make fun of each other all the time and the bikes are just another way to give each other crap.

Well..... yes

I think riders have a different mindset/outlook on life. You're the type of person that prefers to rely on your personal knowledge and skills to get you to your destination instead of crumple zones, air bags and 4,000 pounds of steel surrounding your air conditioned azz.

and Ferrari performance on a Hyundai budget ain't bad either :yay:

So its a motorcycle with BIG training wheels??
:yay:
In the first pic, it looks like there's no tire on the back bike wheel, but in the second pic, it seems to be there

I think that's true, but I don't see why "life" is defined as how you commute. What about people who drive a Honda every day to work and then to the mountains where they spend the weekend kayaking, rock climbing and canyoning? No sense of adventure?

That's kind of a neat optical illusion. If you look at it a certain way it looks like the inside of the rim.

Those folks are the exception, not the rule. Think that might be why there is so much obesity in the U.S. Commute in the SUV and then play a video game when you get home. You ride, you know there is a lot more body english required on the bike, you're not just sitting there. In a car it's as effective as it is on the video game

Harley-Davidson Enters into Agreement with Lehman Trikes

MILWAUKEE (September 1, 2006) - Harley-Davidson Motor Company today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Lehman Trikes U.S.A., Inc. of Spearfish, S.D., for the development of three-wheeled vehicles, commonly referred to as “trikes.”

Plans call for trikes to be developed around a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle product platform and sold as original equipment branded Harley-Davidson vehicles through authorized Harley-Davidson dealers. The Company has not announced the timing or other details of the product introduction.

“Trikes are another way we can inspire the dream of owning a Harley-Davidson,” said Harley-Davidson Vice President Ron Hutchinson. “Harley-Davidson continues to aggressively develop new products. We expect trikes to expand the appeal of our products to those who prefer either the styling or experience of three-wheeled riding,” Hutchinson said.

Lehman Trikes U.S.A. is a subsidiary of Lehman Trikes, Inc. of Canada, a recognized leader in the trike business for more than 20 years.

Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE:HOG) is the parent company for the group of companies doing business as Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Buell Motorcycle Company and Harley-Davidson Financial Services. Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the only major U.S.-based motorcycle manufacturer, produces heavyweight motorcycles and offers a complete line of motorcycle parts, accessories, apparel, and general merchandise. Buell Motorcycle Company produces sport motorcycles. Harley-Davidson Financial Services provides wholesale and retail financing and insurance programs to Harley-Davidson dealers and their retail customers.

I dunno, I've seen some pretty mean body english used by kids trying to get to level 5 in "Sonic the Hedgehog". Kind of like dodging cars going slow in the left lane for a couple miles. :lmao:

I have been looking for my perfect trike. I want a trike because they are unique. Nearly everyone one owns a bike....but not a trike. I have ideas as to how I'd like my trike to look but not sure what to look for when buing one. One thing I know for sure is that I have always loved the sound of a Harley....so I will NO doubt get a harley trike of some kind.

Lehman trikes has an interesting artice on a “No-Lean” Suspension. http://www.lehmantrikes.com/trikes-design.asp?ID=15

Overall, the article makes me really consider buying from Lehman. Go to the Design and Technology tab to read more intereting stuff. I found the section VERY educational.

I would think you could trade out the front and rear tires for cheaper car type tires.. more road contact surface, better cornering..

Similar to what they do for a sidecar rig.. (which is where I'd go instead of a trike) Thinking a URAL sidecar rig for a second bike.. http://www.imz-ural.com/patrol/

ANd yes, that's a drive shaft going to the outrigger wheel.. 2WD motorcycle..

If you want unique, get a flexing sidecar
Ever wonder why the 3 wheel ATVs are no longer sold?

You'll need to swap the wheels also, the bead is much narrower on bike tires than car tires

 good for commuting in the winter, but isn't the top speed on that Ural about 50mph?
