Name stealing??

That's your opinion... and you're entitled to it... but it's poor manners to crap on someone else's name.

Well, it is a crappy name. You are a sadistic mother who would put your child through such childhood misery all because you haven't gotten over the romantic notion of humping the bejesus out of musketeer - which makes it even sicker; because you would name your child after a fire in your loins for a musketeer.

Why not just name him John Holmes and be done with it?

It has nothing to do with humping a musketeer. It has everything to do with the embodiment of everything the character stood for and how he died as a hero for his country and the woman he loved.

I'm trying to think of a name that embodies a gay young man anymore than that, but I am not thinking of one.

No better!! I'm puking like 3-4 times a day! It was supposed to be over by now since I'm in the 2nd trimester! The couple of names I have liked, hubby has hated and vice versa! Glad I still a few months to go. . .

Wait - I know, I'm naming one of them CalvertNewbie! HA HA

Funny but I don't think your hubby would agree to that wonderful name. :lmao: In fact, I wish I hadn't picked it because I'm no longer new here. At the time, I didn't realize how addicting these forums were and figured I'd just be searching for info every once in a while.

My name is Jennifer and was really common "back in the day" when I was born. There were always at least two Jennifers in my classes. Somehow, I doubt my parents wanted to duke it out with the other parents who had chosen "my name". That chick's hormones are running wild, for sure!

I wish you were feeling better. Take the drugs your OB offered you. It's going to be a long 9 months if you keep feeling this way. :huggy:

My one and only cabbage patch doll was named Theodora Shani, My grandma fought 4 other women for that doll. She is still spunky at 89 years. Of course I to this day remember the doll's name 25 years later, but I haven't a clue what happened to the doll.:ohwell:

I still remember my (1 and only) cabbage patch doll name, it was Ives Anderson. I believe my mom gave him away to a younger cousing when I got older. I was very upset.

I was reading another forum that is mainly a women's/parenting forum. Anyway my attention was directed towards a post from a woman who is due in August who was complaining because someone who frequents the same forum 'stole' her babies name.

Thats why I named mine ToxickJr., Toxette and Toxie.

NOBODY will steal those names.

I was going to name the girl Dawxzique, but it seemed too high-falootin.

Your child will be bullied for the rest of his life with a name like that.

Didn't check your profile, but are you a 70s baby? I share the same name :tantrum

Hey - you stole my name!!!!! I'm telling my mom. . . :lmao: Jennifer is my name, too - only to make sure no one stole it, my mom tortured me and everyone else by spelling it with 1 n and 2 f's! So, I just go by Jen - at least that way I don't have to constantly correct everyone with my spelling!

I won't let myself get too sucked in here - I lurk mostly, post sometimes. But I do belong to parentling board elsewhere where I am hopelessly addicted! I guess that's why I won't addict myself here! Not to mention, I am a very shy person and I do better when I don't know someone - not that anyone here knows me. . . but they could!

When I was 11 I chose all my kids names and never kept them to myself so...as I waited to have children all my relatives and friends used up my names. :lmao:

So my kids have totally different names than I intended.
