He was arrested on Friday, so there 's something to the story. You're right, you don't get arrested for a spanking, but you do get arrested for beating the crap out of your kid.Obviously it's a post or email from somewhere else and Glaze thought she would help out her fellow non-hetero by rousing the rabble on his behalf.
You cannot get arrested for simply swatting your kid. If you beat the #### out of the kid in front of witnesses, that's a whole nother story. AND they do not just come arrest you - they investigate the complaint.
But if everyone who swatted their kid in public got arrested, half of St. Mary's County would be sitting in stir. The cops would be staking out the Target and grocery stores looking for felons.
The insinuation is that the cops targeted this guy because he's gay, which we also know is bull####. How would anyone even know he was gay unless he was sucking face with his "partner" in full public view?
And, PS, you don't get arrested for being gay around here, either. Otherwise the other half of St. Mary's County would be fighting the kid-swatters for jail space.
If the kid was taken to the hospital to be checked out, and there were no signs of abuse, the charges will probably be dropped. If the exam shows that there was abuse, he'll get the nice long vacation where he belongs.
The way the original post was worded sounds more like a beating than a spanking.

But I guarantee you it wasn't for simply spanking his child, unless he did it with a 2x4.

When my kids were little I didn't hesitate to swat them on the rear end if they were "out of line"....but, it was just that, a swat....no marks, no more acting up and no lingering effects(except their feelings got hurt and they stopped doing whatever it was that they were doing)
And the cop arrives, charges out of his vehicle, screaming and angry, kicks the guy and throws him to the ground, all on the say-so of some call-in.
