I made it to Mens Wearhouse in Waldorf in RECORD time. Good friends are worth the jailtime risk.

Anywho, Mens Wearhouse HOOKED ME UP! The taylor is taking my pants and jacket home to do the alterations tomorrow morning before going to work. How cool is that?? :yay: He managed to shoehorn my growing waist into my pants and squeeze one more "let out" out of them. Jacket just needs to be let out around the belly area A LITTLE. And I can pick them up tomorrow night!

Mens Wearhouse rocks! I was SO happy not to have to replace this suit already. It's a $$$ suit and I STILL look DAYUM good in it!

Thanks all for the suggestions! You somd'rs are the shiznitt! :larry:

phone number for Jos. A Banks in Waldorf is 301-638-2207 the thing I got is for next Monday and Tuesday. 60% off but no good to you Mr. Wait until the last minute.

I usually do wait, but we just couldn't talk this person into staying on this earth any longer. 10 years of fighting breast cancer twice, ovarian cancer, bone cancer twice, and lastly organ cancer is just asking too much already.

I would have gotten the suit altered last year when I realized 5 minutes before leaving for my cousins wedding that the suit had shrunk, but I was afraid of it shrinking more before I had to use it again. It's basic black...universal. Good for weddings and funerals...which are essentially the same thing anyway.

G'night all. Again, many thanks!

Value City Dept. Store at Iverson Mall in Marlow Heights always has numerous suits. You can mix and match pants/jacket sizes. Very good prices, too!

If you dare, go to St. Charles Town Center. You should be able to find pants anywhere there, Sears, JC Penney, Kohls. They have a good tailor on the first floor right outside of JC Penney. They've altered many things for me in the past, even same day. :yay:

I concur. A number of years ago, I had a job interview in Rochester, NY. Wife picked up my suit from the cleaners on Thursday, where they told her there was a rip in the pants which they sewed up. Due to the repair, the pants were just a bit too small. Had to leave in under 6 hours to go to NY. Called the Mens Wearhouse in Rockville to let them know I was coming and hauled azz. Chauncy (I swear to GOD that was his name) stayed open late for me and I walked out in 30 minutes with a brand new suit, altered to fit. :yay:

PT, sorry for your loss.

Happy Camper!
For a cheap one time suit, Walmart now carries seperates. When my grandfather passed away we got one for hubby - $20 pants and $40 jacket. He'll probably never wear it again so to me I'm happy with the savings.

They are excellant. One of the few places I find clothes in my size. Department stores mentioned are geared to small sizes. Their tailors are great and the salespeople know their stuff. They are trying to expand the Waldorf store.
For cheaper fare, try the K&G warehouse in Waldorf, in the old shopping center accross from Sears. (They belong to Men's Wearhouse which has just recently purchased After Hours and is eying to buy Jos. A. Bank, George Zimmer is the Thrump of men's wear.
