New Addition to the house

Long night and the kitten is making himself at home REAL quick. I walked upstairs and the kitten was already laying in the bed next to the DH just purring away (BTW this kitty has the loudest purr I have ever heard). Milo walked in and looked at the kitty giving him a look like "well isn't this some shiat." He jumped on the bed, went under the blanket like he normally does and went to sleep. A little while later, the kitty started bitting him, while poor Milo was under the blanket. As soon as he got free, Milo chased him out of the bedroom. JR's are not nice creatures when they are woken up. As soon as everyone got cozy again, the kitty came back again. I am amazed at the kitten's personality. It is halarious.

Ever heard of a cat that swims?

Our new kitty loves water, tried to get in the tub with me this morning, tried to get in the shower with the DH about an hour later, come to find out, they are known as "swimming cats."

I found this picture of one swimming. I thought ALL cats hated water.

Kizzy,

I am not a cat owner/person per se... Your thread has me giggling like a school girl! Too bad you don't have a camera/videomaker... You could add a 5 sec kitty beotch slap reel to accompany your post!!!

Or not..

Anyhoo, thanks for the giggles... Get the sister...

cat fight ensues. It is real fun when that happens at 2 a.m. on your bed.

If you tell that story correctly, it can become every man's fantasy...

It has been 4 months now and the kitty has worked out great. He has shown Milo who is boss that is for sure. The dog and cat will play fight all the time, and the cat seems to always have the upper hand.

This kitty has a paper fetish. Anytime there is paper around, he will snatch it up. He’ll even get in my purse and steel paper receipts and things like that. Strangest thing I've ever seen.

I'm just wondering if he can be taught to swim. They say this type of cat CAN and WILL swim.

One way to find out. Throw him in the deep end. Put Milo on his float first so he can play David Hasselhof if need be.

It might be the other way around. I am thinking the cat could swim better than the dog. :killingme

Last year we had to remind the kids to let him go and swim, not to help him out. We wanted him to learn how to swim to the steps, just incase he fell in.

If I tried to teach my cat to swim, not only would act as if she was being murdered, but would seek vengeance by peeing on every article of clothing she could get to for the next month.
