Sooo I invested $$ in 2 new dogs beds; I use a crate pad and blankets for 1 of my GSD-seems the pup and the other GSD like to sleep in the floor. Go figure.

I love that! It is so cute to see how the older two have accepted your new pup; it is like they are guarding him!

It looks like the other two are waiting for the other to get out of bed, so they can have a try! How Cute!!!

He's becoming a great watchdog; hanging with the GSDs must have rubbed off.

I adopted another shelter dog...my boy needed a gal younger than the 2 GSDs-he's 'bout wore them out.
Meet my new gal-Penny the Plott Hound. She was p/u as a stray and her time had run out at the "shelter." Next stop probably would be Rainbow Bridge. She is long, lanky and too lean for my liking.
The "girls" seem to tolerate her and the boy is crazy over her. She goes for spaying & micro-chipping in less than 2 weeks. She is a cuddle-bug and desperate for love & attention.

That is so great! You can see the happiness in her face!! Another lucky dog!

I had never heard of the Plott Hound breed, so I looked it up. Did you know, they are the state dog of North Carolina?

Thanks!
I did some reading about the breed (Cur) and intend to have a DNA test done on her; it's almost like she has Greyhound or Whippet in her.

I saw her when she was first p/u as a stray and bought to the shelter-we connected...you know that eye to eye thing you do w/an animal?? I was shocked her owner didn't call or come in to check.:cds:

My Oreo was a black lab/greyhound mix. She had that point on the top of her head, longer legs, and the very recessed stomach area attributed to a greyhound. And she ran like the wind; three strides and she was in the neighbor's yard. I looked at Penny's pic again. I think you are in for some fun trouble; she looks like a gangly tween! What a sweetie pie!

She's beautiful Lilypad. Congratulations. How old is she?

Thanks! Looking at her teeth I'm thinking 1-2 yrs., hoping the vet can give me a better guesstimate. She's a sweetheart, and has the most amazing vocal abilities!

Well, took my new lil Plott Hound to the vet for a check-up and to get verification if she had been spayed.
Great news-heartworm/negative; pregnant/positive. :faint:
Saw at least 3 on the sonogram; probably more in hiding.
Bless her lil heart.

No, bless your heart! Smelling salts won't work through the internet, but here is an appropriate smiley. Breathe!
