not all of us are into racing. i can personally give a rats ass who crosses the quarter mile mark first. dont get me wrong. i love watching. but i don't race my self. i have enough torque and power in my truck, to get from point a to point b, and if i need it to get up and go, it does so. i'm strictly show.

but yes, some started at checkers, that got out of hand, we went to walmart, then target. people like to show off, mostly the newly drivers, just turned 16, in moms and pops nice car, come through. spin tires. and cops give us the #### thinking we're the ones doing it, leaving us no where to have a good time, hang out with friends, meet new people, bs about cars all night, and cause no trouble.

Regardless of people burning out or not, I'm sure it would only have been a matter of time before the piggies decided to ruin good things.. its almost certain.. regardless of peoples actions. Sucks, but.. hey.. everything does at some point.

I am not saying that I cannot be beaten.. cause I have already.. I still have work to do.. but mark these exact words.. when I'm done with the tC.. I will assure you that I will have one of, if not the fastest imports round here.. I know there is a buttload of domestics around here that love to mess with me, and i'll allow it only because I cannot do anything bout it... yet! Give it some time... you'll see

Here's the thing though...its an IMPORT....there fore, no one who is ANYONE will care if it runs 6's or 20's down the track..you will have put 50 grand in it, and my F150 will STILL be worth more, and Ive only dropped 6-7 grand in it...
So whats the point of putting all that money in a car, if at the end of the day, the speed limit is still 55, and the only people who will like your car running 6's will probably still be living at home, or RENTING somewhere...
Just dont seem worth it

Its a good point.. but its all in the personal opinion of the person writing the check or swiping the plastic.. I personally enjoy having a nice vehicle.. especially one that is so cheap to start with, doesn't have that strong of a platform, and build it into something of amazement. Kinda like these Longenberger baskets everyone seems to collect.. I dont think they are worth the price tag on them, but they are bought and collected because its a hobby As is mine..
