New to Area..Car meets?

Its a good point.. but its all in the personal opinion of the person writing the check or swiping the plastic.. I personally enjoy having a nice vehicle.. especially one that is so cheap to start with, doesn't have that strong of a platform, and build it into something of amazement. Kinda like these Longenberger baskets everyone seems to collect.. I dont think they are worth the price tag on them, but they are bought and collected because its a hobby As is mine..

Don't take this the wrong way as this is a serious question. Why do so many people invest thousands upon thousands of dollars in a vehicle that isn't worth more than $10K just to look "cool" and sound like go-kart? Sure you paid next-to-nothing for your car, but with the $20K you put into it, you could have got yourself a real nice car. I just don't get it.

my aunt has EVERY single one ever made...I asked her to leave them to me in her will so I can sell them



and I know what your saying, everyone has their own hobby...but why drop THAT much money into a car, that will only be worth 5 grand trade in at the end of the day.....

If you want to spend that kind of money, just cut me the check, or give me the plastic, I can think of hundreds of things to do with it that will go to much more purpose also

I was lead to believe that the "wing" helps create downforce so that the REAR WHEELS will gain traction at high speeds....
so what is the use for one on a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE

Absolutely not.. I understand completely what your saying, but it boils back down to personal interests.. I personally like my tC.. I think its probally one of the better looking imports around here.. I have been in all the different ballparks, if you will, Trucks, Jeeps, Imports, etc.. I can probally concure with someone if they said it was only a phase.. honeslty.. I have every intention of buying my house soon, start investing and saving towards my goals and future.. etc.. @ 24 years of age, I have accomplished quite a bit.. I enjoy my personal time, and I prize everything I have.. because in a FLASH.. it can be gone.. trust me.

Oh.. and forget ever seeing such a rediculous thing on my car.. no wing will ever touch my car.. that an animal completely different than myself.. God willing you ever saw my tC out in public, other than the fact that I have a lot of engine work done, and a carbon fiber hood, its a very clean and subtle car.. I dont think that my exhaust resembles the bee's in a can, if you've ever heard the M3's exhuast or any Beemer for that matter.. it most resembles that.. unless of course I'm full throttle.. then it is a little bit louder.. but not obnoxious..

No.. actually I'm pretty low-key here in SOMD.. I'm from Annapolis actually.. so I usually dabble in stuff up there or just remain local and relax.. I'm not into meeting up that much with other vehicle enthusiasts.. usually ends up in trouble.. aside from that, I'm usually out and about.. pretty sporatic when it comes to things.

Yeah I don't go there, I went a few times with the Magnum and everyone wanted to race. I used to know a lot of people there though

I got people always wanting to race me.. its rediculous.. I had one goof-ball in a Z28 rev his engine at me.. we were at the 235 & Gate 2 Light heading southbound.. so I knew obviously I had not a chance in hell.. so who cares.. I pulled 3 car lengths on him off the jump.. he didn't get traction until I was well into 3rd gear.. probally suprised him.. but I bet once I'm boosted.. he will be amazed at how badly my little car can go..

I had probally what appeared to be about a 40+ y/o man in a new Crossfire want to run me twice the other night.. both times he got beat.. he lives by me actually, and stopped so he could talk to me.. I about pee'd myself when I saw his age.. he told me "Thanks son.. that was the best time I've had in my car yet.. btw.. nice car.. that things fast!"

That was also a young fella in a 4 cyl car that wanted some of me. Ahhhh those were the days weren't they.
