GOODE is awesome!:yahoo: They picked up all my trash that New Vision did not. I felt so bad when they showed up. They were like WTF! I went outside and told them what happen. The guy was like ohh. I am trash free:dye::dye:

That is great! I am glad you got it worked out. I do not know if Goode comes to this area of Hollywood but when we are in the market for a new trash service I will call them and ask.

Hmmmph. We had the NV issue as well. Maybe I'm silly for being delighted that they actually did contact their customers and did pick up the trash. Was I inconvenienced by it? Sure. But it was our decision to leave WM and even though now they are price mathcing they still won't remove their fees. Their price match is for once a week service for a year and doesn't include said adjustable fees. It is nice to still have a choice, and remember, you can always go back to WM!

YEs they did contact their, NV, customers but AFTER the fact, not before. Inconvenience yes bordering on health issues at this time of year. Yes we all did willingly switch to NV from MW or whoever, but with the understanding that SERVICE WAS TWICE WEEKLY FOR ONE YEAR AT $66 per quarter! NV SOLICITED, ACTIVELY SOLICITED by going door-to-door in neighborhoods in this area to get more customers with the PROMISE of twice weekly pickup which they did until 3 weeks ago then without notice they changed the game plan!

I do NOT condone their, NV, business ethics in this situation. Poor to say the least, or very incompetent in my opinion. Lack of communication, poor planning or whatever got them to this point, it is NOT the fault of the customer. I do NOT believe the non-paying customers is why they had to make the change to once weekly. And the recycle issue, EVERYTHING went into the same truck when it was picked up, some recycling that is!

Anyway, we still have until mid August for them NV and from there, well...... time will tell!

Was curious about mixing trash and recycle, well here is some quick google info:

With single-stream recycling, recyclable paper and containers can be mixed and collected together because all the materials are separated back out at the recycling center. Does this mean trash, too? Absolutely not! While recyclables are mixed together in the single stream process, trash and recyclables are never combined by the hauler for disposal. Such mixing by the hauler would be a violation of local county law.

Split back rear loading packer trucks collect recyclables together for transport to a single-stream facility. Trash and recyclables are placed in separate compartments, loaded through the back of the vehicle, and are not mixed together.

They NEVER contacted me. I spoke with them 2 times last week and they still didn't come pick up the trash. I had to go get another company and they did New Visions job.

I was just sayin' if you don't like it then switch. I am sure you could get a refund for the money owed prorated for the service you received. I don't think they intended for the glitch to happen nor that they had this in mind as as a scam all along; I think they ran into issues and then tried to find a way to save themselves. And I agree, I am not sure how it will go. WM wants $38 a month for 2x service + fees. 1x a week is still $22 + fees. Rediculous IMO. Maybe I just like that we are not 'forced' to go back to them. I agree that they should have had a better business plan, but if that business plan is going to cost me double every month, I'm willing to take my chances. Hope it works out the way you would like it to.

Called their main number and actually talked to a human being (?). I was passed on to a Mr. Gallo, no answer. Left message. Based on this thread I don't expect an answer.

Any other companies that cover Newburg????? Would appreciate recomendations and telephone numbers. Thank You.:howdy:

I can see the inside of the truck when they pick up and there is NO divided area, it is just one BIG truck and everything goes in together, trash and recycle! But they are a VA company and we are in MD!

Received NV bill for Jul, Aug, Sep. No mention of "once a week collection". Called their office and finally spoke to a human. That's two times now, speaking to a human that is. Was told everyone was sent a notificsation letter of change to schedule. Well I didn't. Looking at the NV cans along my road apparently no one else in my neighborhood received letters. We all had our cans out on Thursday.

I agree, many of us changed from WM to NV because the price was right and we all could save some $. Most of us could put up with a bump or two in the road. If the company failed to pick up once in awhile I could live with that. But I need my trash picked up twice a week. I don't have anyplace to store the "extra trash" and we do have critters around here, small and large, that appreciate a full can of trash.

So I will be returning their bill with a letter of cancellation. No regrets,

So if anyone knows of a company that services Cliffton please pass along their tel number or web site.

Im glad New Vision exists, even though they are disappointing their customers. I was able to get my waste management bill from $141 every quarter to $87 :yahoo:

That was jacked up you did not get the letter in the trash can the week prior. I got them on the phone one time. I can live with a once a week trash pick fo my needs. So now you have to switch companies again, what a mess they created. And you got a bill for J A and S, what the heck is that all about, June is not even hear yest, sounds like an attempt to get people to pay early if they can to recover some of their lost when they started in St Marys, I have no bill for those months yet, I paid up to through June.

WM won't work a bettter price with everyone, I guess it depends on what kind person answers the phone that day and how they feel.

If you are still with NV ask them for an additional trash can or buy a second one yourself for them to dispose on Wednesdays. Would two cans not take care of your needed twice a week pick up? But you might spend another week or two getting someone from NV on the phone to see if that will work out. That is so crazy, a business that won't answer the phones, maybe the secretary or admin people have to make a couple of routes to help out during the day. What a saga, so you now have lots of trash piling up or did NV finally get you last Wed?

Dont make the mistake

The only number you can reach them on is 1-877-685-7566, which is not on their invoices. They are sending invoices for services long after they were cancelled. I had regular service in the beginning, then the pick-ups were missed often with promises to come the next day etc! They are thee most unreliable service, the customer service is crap, they dont answer the phone and the voicemail is always FULLL! I dont know if they ever came to get their green toter from my curb, it sat there for weeks until I asked my new trash provider to pick it up..

I am now with AA Reliable Trash Service, I have not had one missed pick up. The name speaks for itself..they cost a few dollars more, but still less than WM (who sucked as well).
