Newsome's Musings

It's pretty damned bad when the major qualification needed to be a California Senator is to be a black woman.
Democrat are on their knees for that black vote. Begging blacks to remain on the plantation while at the same time working to replace them in the job market and in their prominent political vote with illegals they are bringing in by the thousands. We have poor blacks and whites in America that we could be helping by spending the Billions of dollars to help instead of putting illegals up in 5 star hotels.

It's pretty F'in sad when Democrat politicians openly play the same game of appointing blacks, lesbians, trannies, and unqualified people to important offices, and the saddest thing is that Democrat voters cannot see what they are doing. What kind of Government will we get when it is filled with Affirmative action appointees who have no qualifications for the jobs they are appointed to. In fact thopse of us who are paying attention already know what kind of Government we wil get. We will get more of what we have now under joe Biden and his puppet master-- Obama.

I have no issue really with Newsome's appointment as long as she doesn't decide to run. She is meant to keep the seat warm and vote Dem until after the citizens of CA vote for their new Senator next year.

He could have kept the seat warm with a whoopi cushion and got a lot better voice from it.

Is Gavin Newsom Running a Shadow Presidential Campaign?

His vetoes, his foreign trips, his upcoming debate with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis: It all adds up to something like a shadow presidential campaign by California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

It’s hard to predict how Mr. Newsom might pull it off, at least during this cycle—he has remained a steadfast supporter of incumbent President Joe Biden, and as the filing deadlines for multiple Democratic primaries have passed, he hasn’t flinched.

He could be gunning for 2028, two years after state term limits will force him out of the governor’s mansion. Or, if events line up just right, he could make his move sooner.

“I think it's been pretty obvious that Newsom has been positioning himself for a run in 2028 and to be available in 2024 should Biden's health or capacities deteriorate to the point that Democrats decide that they need another candidate,” Morris Fiorina, professor of political science and Hoover Institution fellow at Stanford University, told The Epoch Times.

Gavin Newsom’s Approval Rating Hits All-time Low in California

The Times reported Tuesday:

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s standing among California voters has hit an all-time low, with 49% disapproving of his performance as governor, according to a new UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Times.
The survey showed Newsom’s popularity has tumbled this year as he continues to amplify his national profile and campaign outside of the Golden State to support President Biden and attack Republican governors and their conservative political agendas.
Newsom’s approval rating was 44% in the late October poll, an 11-point slide from February when 55% of voters approved of his performance. His disapproval among California voters increased 10 percentage points from earlier this year.

Newsom lost support among Democrats as well as Republicans; 55% of respondents feel that the state is heading in the wrong direction. The poll sampled over 4,000 likely primary voters in California; The margin of error in the polls was 2.5%.

Gavin Newsom’s incredibly homophobic word association

By Andrea Widburg

Quick! Let’s play a game of word association. I’ll write a word, and you say out loud the first associated word that comes to mind: Black… Dog… Bacon… Homosexual….

If you’re an ordinary Joe or Jane, I’m betting you associated Black with White, Dog with Cat or maybe Lovable Life Companion, Bacon with Eggs or Pig, and Homosexual with Liberace or Rock Hudson. But if you’re California’s Governor Gavin Newsom, when it comes to homosexuality, what you associate it with is graphic sexual exhibitionism. There’s simply no other way to understand what’s going on behind Gavin Newsom’s tweet saying that Murfreesboro banned being gay in public when it outlawed public indecency, lewdness, nudity, and sexual conduct.

Let’s start with Murfreesboro’s ordinances, which are completely normal, at least as of five minutes ago in America. Murfreesboro, as all American cities once did, has a public indecency ordinance prohibiting sexual conduct and content in the public square. American communities did this to protect their children from inappropriate conduct and to keep their communities safe from the anti-nuclear-family degradation that comes with commodifying sex.

To this end, Section 21-23(C) of its Municipal Code defines sexual conduct as follows:

Sexual conduct means acts of masturbations, homosexuality, sexual intercourse, or physical contact with a person’s unclothed genitals, pubic area, buttocks, or if such person be a female, her breast.

Fact check: Newsom says working-class taxes are higher in Texas, Florida than California. Is he right?

“And they call us the high tax state,” Newsom said on the podcast. “How can you play that? It’s who are you for and it’s exposed in this. They talk about this populism for the working folks and the middle class and they’re not. Look at who they tax. Look at their policies. Look who they benefited.”

California has the highest state income tax rate in the country for wealthier people, 13.3% for millionaires. But it is progressive, meaning those with lower incomes pay a lower percentage of income tax.

Texas and Florida have no state income tax.

Newsom’s office cited for The Bee a 2018 study from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, a respected left-leaning research group in Washington.
“Many states that tout themselves as ‘low tax’ states are often only low tax for the wealthy, and high tax for lower-income families,” said Jon Whiten, ITEP communications director.

ITEP’s “inequality index” rated Texas as the second most unfair tax system, followed next by Florida. California was the fairest. The study includes state and local sales, property and income taxes.

“Many low- and middle-income families pay lower taxes under California’s moderately progressive tax system than they would under the highly regressive systems used to fund public services in Texas and the other more conservative states.,” ITEP said.

[clip]

The study found California had a “comparatively high combined state and local sales tax rate and comparatively high cigarette tax,” among other differences.

Other studies have found California’s tax burden is a mixed picture.

Wallet Hub, a financial services firm, found this year that California had the nation’s 12th-highest tax burden. Its income tax burden was third, while its property taxes ranked 23rd and sales and excise taxes 31st.

Texas was 29th. Its property taxes ranked eighth highest in the country and sales taxes were 11th.

Florida was 46th, as its property tax burden ranked 25th and sales taxes were 18th.

Newsom Criticizes Proposal To Kick Trump Off Ballot In California

Newsom claimed on Friday that Trump was a threat to democracy, but indicated that he did not support Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis’ request to California’s secretary of state to follow Colorado and move to kick Trump off the ballot. Newsom has been accused of running a shadow presidential campaign and has been seen as a potential option for Democrats should President Joe Biden step out of the 2024 race.

“There is no doubt that Donald Trump is a threat to our liberties and even to our democracy,” Newsom said. “But in California, we defeat candidates at the polls. Everything else is a political distraction.”

On Tuesday, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Trump is disqualified from becoming president again for “inciting the crowd that breached the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021,” which the court said violated Section 3 of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment, known as the insurrection clause.

What kind of unadulterated BULLSHIT is it for Democrats to be spouting that Donald Trump is a threat to our liberties and our Democracy.
Donald trump did not lock up prisoners without trial or bail..
Donald Trump did not allow Millions to cross our border carrying fentanyl
Donald Trump did not start two wars and have American taxpayers pay for them.
Donald Trump did not give Billions of dollars to Iran.
Donald Trump did not cheat to put a demented old man in the White House .

Trump deregulated America and worked harder than any other President to give us freedom and liberties.
While this senile old crook spends 99% of his time hiding in the White House, Rehoboth beach, Martha's Vineyard and other places and calls lids so he doesn't have to show his mental breakdowns to the press.

The most pitiful thing is that so many Americans are stupid enough to believe the Horse crap that ass holes like Newsom Schumer, Pelosi, Waters, Schiff, ,Swalwell, Nadler and other scum, low life, people who DO want to destroy America when they put out this Garbage. How can America survive with scum like these people in our Government and Americans who vote for them so Got damned stupid.

The first claim might be true in only the narrowest sense. The Associated Press has confirmed that Flynn met with the governor's staff regarding the minimum wage bill and that he suggested exempting "restaurants like bakeries, bagel shops and delis" from the higher minimum wage law. Flynn denied speaking to Newsom directly, but it certainly appears that he attempted to exercise some influence over the lawmaking process.

Meanwhile, the governor's office's claim that the exemption doesn't apply to Panera only raises other questions—like, why is that exemption there at all?

That's a question that reporters in Sacramento have seemingly been trying to answer for months. Asked directly about the bakery exemption at a press conference last year, Newsom said it was "part of the sausage making" of the legislative process. In the wake of the Bloomberg story, Newsom's office has not offered a better explanation for the carve-out. Until that changes, the questions will persist.

"If [Newsom] is unable to provide a better justification for this carve-out, it raises serious questions about the integrity of his administration," a group of Republican lawmakers wrote in a letter requesting that state Attorney General Rob Bonta investigate the matter.

We all know the left can't meme. Apparently, they can't make compelling political ads without accidentally creating rightwing comedy, either.

Yes, Brian, Republicans are absolutely training police officers at this very moment to chase down pretty blonde girls trying to escape to get abortions.

The hysteria, of course, is entirely hypothetical, as is usually the case. However, that has never stopped the left's media propaganda before.
