I agree about the respect issue for others, however, when you go to a bar, you should expect it to be full of smoke, been that way for many,many years. It's different when you are around one person for them to respect you and not smoke around you, but when out in public and you know there will be smokers, you are doing it to yourself then, you have a choice...

I'm not going to read this entire thread for your stupidity but because I'm bored this morning, what else do you think should be banned? Are you just trying to get a reaction or attention? I think idiotic, narrowminded people should be banned from society. The earth was not created for you and you alone. You need to share it with others and be more tolerant of others. You will probably find yourself living a happier life in the process. JMO

Funny thing is, the folks that complain about smokers in a bar are probably the ones driving home drunk or sitting passivley by watching others do it. They are missing the forrest through the trees Personally I'm not big on people breaking wind in public. I don't wish to inhale their bodily gasses.

Funny thing was I was in a public place a few weeks ago and two elderly women were together (no not smoking) but they were hard of hearing and having to talk loudly and annunciating to each other...(oddly enough topic was what to grab for lunch) funny thing was they were rippin' off wingers back to back, loudly at that. I guess thinking others didn't hear or something because they couldn't hear it. It was soo obvious and became commical, I started looking around for a camera or something, thinking I'd been "punked" Everyone else in the room I was in just kept reading their magazines and looking up every now and then at these two rippn' and wingn' grandma's. It was really bad, I was beginning to wonder if they were talking loudly because they couldn't hear over eachother's bowels. And folks complain about smelling ciggerette smoke. Sheeesh!

Well I don't drink and I don't smoke. I tolerate the smoking but I cannot and will not tolerate people drinking and driving. That to me is selfish..

Are you sure? I think you need to work on that a little more. Try drinking something, it may help your tolerance, heck might even make you want to smoke an evil ciggerette.

Then maybe what you need to do is hangout at a "Family Fun Center". For the dancing, clear out a spot in your garage or basement. Problem solved. If you can't live around the imperfections of others then maybe you should create a bubble and live in it.

Can't say that I have. Isn't that right up there with a Christian slot machine or a Christian porn movie? Why not just hang out at your house and have friends come over, friends exactly like your perfect self? Problem solved.

So what seems to be the problem? You have a bar where you can go dance and hang out without drinking and smoking. Yippee. Why can't you just be happy there and leave everyone else alone?

Personally, I'd ban excessive smilie use. In particular, people who can't see to write a sentence without using them.
