Non-stop barker

It's that time of year when you want to sleep with the windows open. However, there is a dog the next street over that will NOT stop barking- all night! Then at 4am 2 more dogs join him! This is not just a one night deal, this is most nights. I feel bad for the people who have to live right next door to this barking. At least I have a farm between us.

I LOVE animals, but I am also very considerate of my neighbors. If my shepherd starting barking at some ungodly hour even for just a few minutes I'd call her in and lock the doggie door! I won't call the cops because I don't wanna be that type of neighbor. But please, if you have an all night barker throw him a bone!!

I'm on Baptist Church Road and it sounds like the non-stop barker is on Birchwood Ct.

So, here I sit at work trying to stay awake on a Monday.

My boy only barks if he sees a strange dog, and there for a while, I didn't think he knew how to bark.

Boxy? He will bark, but only if something he sees or hears is amiss OR if you are the far neighbor LOL - I tell him to stop barking at them, I said Boxy, that's NOT YOUR house honey. Then after I tell him no a few times, he will stop, but then he will whine AT ME because I won't LET him bark LOL He is too funny.

There's a German Shepherd down the street from me. He has a deep ROOF. So when I notice him barking, I sing with him:

STFU... cuz if you have ever heard me speak of my neighbor.. you would know she is a low life.... so pound sand!

I have one dog that barks at everyone and everything and another that rarely if ever barks. :shrug: Part of the barking issue is the animal's personality. Just like humans, some talk more than others.

Sounds are a part of life, and unless someone is deliberately allowing their dogs to bark at all hours for extended periods of time, you have no say in it. If you want to live in peace and quiet, you may have to move to Texas and buy yourself a 100 acre ranch and even then you STILL may hear noise from your neighbors property.

One of my neighbors has about 3 dogs (sounds like), and they annoy me at times, but I don't complain about it. Now if they left them outside all night like the original post, then there would be a problem. But for someone to let their dogs out at 4am because that is their schedule? No you are wrong for your criticism of that. I take my dogs outside at 5am, due to MY schedule, if they bark, so be it. It's not like I will leave them outside, because after a few minutes to do their thing, then they come back inside.

It sounds like the OP's neighbors dogs are *outside* dogs AKA yard ornaments. Could be chained/penned and probably BORED.
There is a big difference between someone getting up for work, letting the dogs out to do their business and the dogs bark some and are let back in the house; and people whose dogs live outdoors (I am assuming) 24/7.
StadEMS3, I feel for you! And you can't blame the dog; it is fidiot dog owners that allow this to happen. And they must be sound sleepers to not be annoyed and inconvenienced by the racket!

Thanks for making my point, You start off cursing at me and then justify your own bad behavior by telling everyone that other neighbors are worse that you. And " if " in fact your neighbor is a low life it looks like you all deserve each other. And i am not your cuz.

Yeah I agree, different personalities, and well breed probably does play a part in it in some cases.

my neighbor even asked me if the dogs barked one night she was not there..... she was hoping they did and may have woke me when someone (she knew) broke into her house... crazy thing is .. she likes my dogs and feels safe with them cuz if they start doing bad... then something is wrong!
