Unfortanently, these girls just don't care about what they did. The more I read about this, the more it pisses me off.

I said earlier that this was no worse than what I had seen at Westlake, I take that back. Supposedly the clips that were shown on the news were the "viewer-friendly" clips.

What happened here is far worse. I just don't understand what possesses someone to do such a thing.

Excuse me Aps but one of those girls was NOT a cheerleader and did NOT hit the girl (merely set her up). This all came out of the interview with the mother of one of the girls arrested. Furthermore the victim was partly to blame because she said bad things about the other girls on My Space. Geesh Aps don't you know anything about teenage girls? (You know I'm kidding right?)

The interview with the mother was ridiculous - said the whole thing was overblown. 30 minutes of beating AFTER the victim regained consciousness and it's overblown!

First reports said the mother of one of the girls was present when this happened. Reminds me very much of that case in Baltimore - anyone remember that one? .

If there was a parent present - omg. It's unbelievable to me, really.

THIS is the reason (kids like) these act like this. These girls were never told NO when they were toddlers, pre-schoolers, kindergartners, etc. The parents totally indulged their every little princess whims. And in the process the parents have raised terrorists.

They fear no one. They don't even SEE what they've done as wrong - heck the MOTHER in the interview didn't see it! The girls have been getting away with a lot more than this for all of their lives. I hope they get the book thrown at them.

I'd leave my daughter in jail till the trial to think about what she did .........

pretty sure my kid would rather stay in jail than come home to me if they were involved in something like this.

That's what I've heard. The part they showed was supposedly after she had been knocked out & gotten back up, I believe.

WEell, if you watch the "myfoxtampa" clip, you'll notice she's lying on a couch- that looks like it's when they wake her up with a barrage of fists. All the poor girl was trying to do was get the hell out of there. They blocked her exit, a number of times, beating her endlessly.

Again, just absolutely horrible. Hopefully these girls will be permanent cheerleaders at the Polk County Corrections Facility.
