LEONARDTOWN (May 14, 2008) --- St. Mary's Sheriff Tim Cameron confirms that a deputy sheriff has been suspended for his alleged conduct in an incident which took place in the south end of St. Mary's County.

Anybody know what this is all about? Doesn't give much information.

The bigger No-no is a BAC of .18, driving with your family in the car, and wearing a badge.......

It is standard police procedure to administer a preliminary breath test to suspected drunk drivers on the side of the road to get a first indication of the amount of alcohol in the blood stream of the motorist. Witnesses at the scene asked the officers to give the drunken deputy a PBT but they declined.

Of course the Elite Class would not give a BAT to one of their own, that would make it harder to white wash later ...

Cameron was asked if he had requested another police agency to handle the investigation.
“No, and we are not going to,” said Cameron. “I have confidence in our internal affairs investigators Mike Gardiner and David Yingling and they are straight shooters and are going to uncover the facts.”

You are such a cop hating looser! How are they "whit washing" this if they know his bac was .18. It seems to me they are doing a thorough job investigating this, and took the appropriate action by suspending the guy.

I'd say, looking at the picture, he recovered from this beating pretty well and pretty quick.. He damn sure doesn't look like a white Rodney King.

Granted if the cop was DUI, and that part alone is true, I think he should be fired.
