Imagine a panic stop.. wheels locking up, and you're trying to stop from getting ejected from the bike with your hands two feet over your head..

The physics aren't in your favor.
...or if you're about to hit a car, trying and go over the handlebars instead of them going into your chest

Don't know, but I did learn last night from watching Sturgis that guys will leave the clamp bolts loose so when they pull up to stop signs which are the measuring stick in SD they'll pull them down so as not to get a ticket. Then put them back up after they leave. All to look cool. Oh, and I used to have them on a 350 Honda.:lmao: I guess I was much cooler then.
CB350 Honda with Ape Hangars? :killingme

It wouldn't be pretty. I could almost see it being more comfortable having your hands slightly higher but not like that.

I have 16" mini-apes on my '81 Ironhead. It's much more comfy to me than the buckhorn bars it came with. They put my hands about even with my shoulders. I don't know how the guys drive with the ones over their heads.

I've put apehangers on most of my bikes. I have 17" apes on my chopper and 11" mini-apes on my road king. Neither of them are above my head when riding, with the chopper's coming to just about chin level. It is really a comfortable position for long rides. Think about when you are driving a car and sit with your hands on top of the stearing wheel, about that same height. With the bars in a standard position my hands and arms go numb after a short distance riding.
