The issue isn't the quantity, but the quality.
Trump says "So I donated $3M to charity such and such" and someone fact checks it as $2.77M and says "Trumps a big fat phony liar". Meanwhile Biden reinvents his entire childhood out of whole cloth and fact checker's are like "We checked and we heard someone say they maybe knew a guy named Corn Flakes, or Fruit Loops or somesuch. Close enough."
