Iceberg lettuce has NO vitamins in it. None. Now, romaine and the rest have some nutritional value, but iceburg has NO nutritional value, plus it's cheap. Is that what they serve?
One cup of iceberg lettuce:
  • 8 calories
  • 0.5 gram protein
  • 0.7 gram fiber
  • 10 mg calcium
  • 78 mg potassium
  • 1.5 mg vitamin C
  • 16 mcg folate
  • 13.3 mcg of vitamin K
  • 164 mcg beta carotene
  • 152 mcg of lutein + zeaxanthin
(I still like iceberg occasionally)

I like Olive Garden (for a chain resturant). But the one thing I never understood is the Waldorf one (and this one too, even though I have not been to it yet) is the only one I have ever seen where you have to wait more than 5 mins for a table. I have been to three others in other states and only one time did I have to wait 5 mins. The other two times it was walk on in and get your table.

Not really sure what the fuss is about. I like Ruby Tuesday, but I am not going to wait 45 mins for a burger or whatever. Same with Olive Garden, not going to wait more than 10 mins for a chain resturant, when like another poster said, in the 1.5hr, I can make my own dinner or drive to Waldorf and get some other Italian that is the same or better (or D'Giovanni's if I wanted to spend the money (which I will for b-day or something else special)).

I love Texas Road House
I'm kinda suprised nobody asked but I had the Ravioli di Portobello for dinner last time I was there.

Wouldn't wait and hour and a half at any restaurant especially for pasta. I can make that at home. We've all seen this happen before with any new restaurant in this area. It'll blow over in about 6 to 8 months.

Thank god you finally told us. We've been discussing this in a private forum and practically beside ourselves with anticipation.

Waiting times for restaurants:

We wanted to go out to an early dinner Saturday night.....5:00 - 5:30 timeframe.

We drove by Olive Garden, and drove right on by after seeing all of the cars in the parking lot, and the people waiting outside.

Then we tried to go to Outback, and that place had an hour and fifteen minute wait.

We then noticed that every restaurant that we drove by all had lots of cars in the parking lot, so assumed that they were busy as well.

We ended up at Lonestar...and even though it was packed, the service was VERY slow. When we got up to leave, we noticed that it was crazy-busy, and with a line - literally - out of the door.

I guess now in thinking about it, we don't go out to eat often on a Saturday night, because I had no idea how slammin' busy restaurants get aroud here.

Is is NORMAL that almost all of the restaurants are so incredibly busy on a Saturday night?

We went there last Saturday night and it was a 30 minute wait, but that was around 6:30.

Yes, and Friday nights, too. And, most weeknights as well. If I plan on having dinner out on a weekend, I try to get there by 5 (sometimes earlier) otherwise I know the wait will be forever.

Yes, the earlier the better.. it seems the magic hour is 5:30-7:00 for peak diners. We went to CIP earlier in the week, I think it was a Tuesday evening about 5:45 and it was a 30 min. wait as well.
