Olive Garden

I'm curious if the good local restaurants are busy, or just the crappy chains?

What's "good" to you? I went to Carrabba's a while back, busy busy BUSY!!! Ugh, actually I'll probably never go back because of that experience plus I wasn't impressed with the food. I mean, other than the yummy dirt-n-oil...ehh, it was just so-so.

Ever been to Brassas in Waldorf?

They're one of our sponsors so I went up there to meet with the owner. I didn't eat, but the food the waiter carried past me to another table smelled and looked fantastic. And it must have been good because they were ooohing and aaahing throughout the whole meal.

I like local restaurants, Lenny's being one of my faves. I think chain restaurants are a Communist plot.

I like SOME local restaurants, too. But see, I'd rather go home and make a grilled cheese sammich out of stale, moldy bread and thirteen year old Velveeta cheese than eat at Lenny's. But that's just me.

I love Texas Road House
I love bon buffet. I used to go there twice a week for dinner. Once Olive Garden opened I stopped going to bon buffet.

Dry Dock was slow early Friday night, but picked up after 7:30 or so. I really like what they've been cooking lately and the service is always excellent. I hear their chef is moving restaurants though, so after next Saturday, it could all go downhill. I'd much rather spend a bit more and have their great food than wait in line at a chain for mediocre Italian. The only place I'll wait for a table is the CD Cafe, but they have the great back bar for waiting.

I just swung by there on the way home. Next available table is Tuesday around 4:15pm. I took the vibrating hockey puck thing with me. I can't wait!

I like Lenny's also and they make great Prime Rib, the family and I were kind of annoyed with one waitress (Heavy Set "Fat" young "20's" white girl) who talked so loud you could hear her conversation at every table she talked at, she was also a border line smart ass who thought her job was to be the Bell of the Ball! She was also sweating... :coffee:

:twitch: barf-o-rama.

Years ago, it used to be very good. Lately, not so much. Haven't been there in 2 or 3 years.

Yeah. It used to be reallly good, probably about 6 years ago. SO and I went in there (against my will) a few weeks ago and it smelled like wet, hot, moldy food. We were so disgusted we walked out. No thanks.
