Well , now they put a sale date on the cans. If it sits there long enough it isn't supposed to be sold.
Not that there is a damned thing wrong with it after the date, but stores will be stuck with it if anyone looks at the date.

I heard if it sits too long the sugars ferment and it becomes alcohol.

I am no expert, but I do know that the date really doesn't mean much.
I buy a 6 pack and it sometime sits in my refrigerator for 6 months or more and I haven't died from drinking one yet.
I bought some Natty Boh the other day because it was cheap, and it wasn't bad.

This boycott has proven to be an effective, non violent form of protest and shows that there are enough people willing to vote with their purse to the detriment of A-B/InBev.

As with all things, there are two sides to each story. While consumers are "sticking it to the man!" some of the hardest hit people are the local distributors and their employees. For several generations Guy Distributing has been synonymous with Budweiser, softball and St. Mary's County. What people don't realize about the Guy Distributing family is the sheer amount of support they give to the citizens of the county through event sponsorships, business relations and charitable giving. I would hate to see a business with such deep community roots suffer possibly irreparable harm due to the idiotic and ill conceived choices of a woke marketing director with absolutely zero ties to our county.

Anheuser-Busch gives away free Bud Light to 'make amends' to distributors after Mulvaney controversy

Bud Light distributors faced wrath of angry customers in recent weeks, Wall Street Journal reports

Beer giant Anheuser-Busch is trying to salvage its relationship with Bud Light distributors who faced angry customers after the brand partnered with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

The beer maker ignited a firestorm last month when it celebrated Mulvaney's "365 Days of Girlhood" by sending Mulvaney custom-made cans featuring the influencer's face. Since then, Bud Light in-store sales have dropped 26% during the week that ended April 22, wrote the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The beer giant had also seen its market value decrease by $5 billion in recent weeks.

To combat those losses and its tarnished reputation with customers, the country's largest brewer is trying to "make amends" with wholesale distributors who've suffered from the controversial partnership, the Wall Street Journal reported.

So now you've pissed off the rednecks, the gays and a good sized chunk of the female population. What's next add a little pigs blood to get rid of the Muslims and PETA people.

Pretty sure Guy Distributing will be just fine. Selling more of another brand of beer other than BL.
