Our dog is very sick.....

Just returned from the vet. His condition had actually deteriorated since I brought him in this morning. While we were there, he may have threw part of his clot. The vet came in and could not find a pulse in his hind legs. He was suffering so we made the decision to let him pass on. I called my husband and it broke my heart to hear him talk to Boomer over the phone and to listen to my girls say goodbye. Bud was a great dog, smart and funny and will truly be missed everyday. We love you Boomer. You'll forever be in our hearts.

I am sorry if my comment upset you more. It is hard to know what to say when others are grieving. I know your family is very distraught over the loss of Boomer. I understand, and know how you feel. When our Oreo died last June (2012), my husband was in Minnesota on a business trip; I had to make the decision to have her put down. I have walked in your shoes. I hope that helps. It will all be ok. It is the loss we know will happen; when we make a beloved pet part of our family. Our pets had a better life because of us, and no truer love was given. My mom used to say (she is gone, too) that she could see the love in Oreo's eyes when she would look at us. Take care. Robin

It didn't upset me hun. I guess part of me is mad his work has made him be on travel since beginning of June at it'll be 2 more weeks before he's home. Seems he's always on travel during anything that's important to our family. Not his fault though. I spoke with him on the phone while at the vet's and we both knew letting Boomer go was the best thing for Boomer (even thought it's really hard not to be selfish). You are grieving,also, but are so kind to worry about GB's sorrow. My heart breaks for all of you that have recently lost a beloved companion. I love what you said to your pup. I am sorry for your loss, as well.
