i've seen this situation too many times......animal rescuer feels threatened by another animal rescuer...tries to start a turf war in the forums....it's a sad situation really. All you can do is hope that when the smoke clears the animals are still standing..:killingme

For the love of God woman. Chill out.

Oh Camily, relax....
Just want to know some answers...
Too many people "giving away" animals and we know very little how they got these animals and what the medical condition is...
No harm in asking basic questions.

Would be one thing if it were a local rescue group, not some person who happens to have 3 animals that she claimed were left behind by their owners.

So, just want some answers about these pets...might get them adopted better when all the info is out there ya know!!!

...Than take them out of the For Sale section....and put them in the Pets..or Lost and Found...
You said you could not afford these animals...

And I do do rescue work and do not complain about the $$$.
Have rescued well over 158 animals in the past 8-11 years.
Lost count a while back.
And I do do fundraisers...did 2 in the past year, raised over 4 grand...

Dont rescue if you cant afford to do it.

If you cant afford the vet, you cant afford the pet.

Have a nice day... I am off to do help rescue an animal that was found in a dumpster..( new owners are coming to adopt it!!!) .and to volunteer all day cleaning animal cages for a rescue group. :howdy:
Who died and made you the boss of everyone?

That wasn't asking a few questions. That was an interrogation. She is trying to do the right thing. Just because she is not a rescuer doesn't mean she's a moron.

No feeling threatened here...

Just asking common questions about the condition of the dog and how they got these animals.

Responsible rescue groups have fully vetted, healthy pets to adopt out.
Are these animals fully vetted, healthy and ready to go?

A dog that lives in a pen and walked 2 x a day does not sound too socialized to me..and that is cause for concern.

Better she work with a rescue group than doing this by herself.

Sometimes one person can work a miracle all by themselves.

Your posts make people not want to go to a rescue group for anything. Rescue people tend to be the nuttiest people I've ever met. JMO. BTW, I used to do exotic bird rescue.

I can't believe your giving this person so much trouble. She's doing a good thing trying to find these animals homes in stead of leaving them on the street to get run over, poisoned or shot. There needs to be more people like this willing to do these kind's of things. Now adays people just leave animals behind like they are some piece of trash. Just because she doesn't spend her life rescuing animals like you(by the way i applaud you for that, it takes alot of strength to devote so much time into doing that) do doesn't mean she's not doing what she can. She's doing all that she can do. Did you ever think that maybe she can't bring the dog inside, because her animals don't get along with strange animals? It's alot more than what others do. And asking all the questions, about where she found them, and if she had permission? big whoop. I was ten years old and took a cat from the neighbors house because they had it tied to a brick. It was tied so tight the skin was starting to form around it. I'm a proud supporter of the Humane Society and the ASPCA. I'm only Twenty years old, and me and my mother have six inside cats, all of which are cat's we have taken in. I'd have more too, but it's come down to where my cat Sammy is so stressed out with the other cats that she chews all her hair off. Some people can simply not have anymore animals. And sadly alot of the rescue groups are always tied up, or backed up alot of the times. The last couple of times we have found a cat that wasn't feral that would come to us, we have taken them to the Well Pet Clinic down in Lexigton Park. My dad has a shop at the Farmers Market in Charlotte Hall, which has countless numbers of strays. I stop there everyday after work and feed them. I've even managed to trap a couple of them and get them spayed or neutered. Ever since I was a little girl, I've alays wanted to help out animals, heck I still stop in the road to help a turtle out in crossing the road. Even if you don't do alot, at least you've done something. If your as much as a animal lover as you say you are, you shouldn't be so vindictive.

To Jacqueli48---Good job with what your doing. and Good Luck with finding these poor animals homes.

Not wanting to get into an argument...

I often rescue animals. I cannot tell you how many times I've tried to enlist the help of the various rescues in the tri-county area only to be told they are full, out of funds, etc. and in some cases have even been told to take them to Tri County. I work and cannot always spend huge amounts of times with my rescues and sometimes they are caged perhaps longer than I'd like, but I do the best I can to see that they are well taken care of and find loving homes.

Let's give the thread starter the benefit of the doubt that she is an animal lover in a bad situation and trying to make the best out of it.

These types of threads are distressing because they often result in a pissing match and it's the animals that ultimately suffer because people are turned off to rescue organizations because of negative comments.

Aww...c'mon, it makes the day more interesting. :lmao:

My sister took in a stray beagle in Lex Park a few years back. She called several rescue groups seeing if they could take him in. They pretty much said sorry, you're on your own. So, she placed him. I don't see anything wrong with her placing them, and I wouldn't blame her for charging a little for them.

I agree with you 100% except for the charging part. But hey if you think about it, someone is more likely to take better care of an animal if you had to pay some money for it, versus getting it for free. Unfortunately alot of the times the rescue groups can't take them.Especially in the spring time. They say right now is peak "kitten season". The hardest ones to place are the older animals.

Where are these charges coming from

What is it that makes you think I want any money? I posted with no charge to get more attention to the animals. If you want pictures, I will e-mail to you. Nothing to hide here. Yes, the animals do get attention. Do you ppl even read my comments. I work full-time as well. I saw a skinny dog that was abandoned by his owners. I am not a rescuer, dealer, seller, etc. I just saw some animals in distress, called the shelter, they were full and I did not want to see them put down. I am not a glory seeker. Again, just looking for a home. If you don't want to help, don't comment.

Don't let the azzholes get ya' down.

You posted under "for sale" in the classifieds, and even though you're not charging anything, Inkpen has to make a stink about everything because she's perfect.
