Patrick or Brunnel???

...who are we liking?

After the courage Ramsey showed last year coupled with Gibbs system (a lot less audibles and more pass protection) I'd be happy with Ramsey...

BUT...

With the line beat up so bad and the fact that Gibbs offense historically starts slow, maybe the vet will handle everything better?

Nothing to see here
Ramsey has looked shaky all pre-season and I'm not sure why, pressure?? Regardless of the contract and money being paid to Brunnell, he's performed better and deserves the starters job. Ramsey will learn alot watching Brunnell from the bench, and will be ready to step in if needed.

I thought Ramsey looked like a real gunslinger out there last season. Then Spurrier decides to use a free agent tight end to protect his blind side. Game over.

until Ramsey can protect himself more and become more comfortable with Gibb's scheme, Brunel should start. He also ,as said, has had a better pre season under the gun.

I prefer to see Patrick Ramsey -- he took a lickn' last year with 30 sacks -- The term became "Saving Patrick Ramsey"
I think he should at least start the first game and see how he does. I think its a loyalty thing.

I have seen Ramsey over throw too many TD passes, He has some learning to do. Brunell is a good start. Patrick has plenty of years in him.

I agree with this, seem as though Ramsey is having a hard time under the new system, he is def struggling...

Tim Hasselbeck had a better QB rating than Ramsey in the Preseason!!

Mark Brunell 71.3
Tim Hasselbeck 58.1
Patrick Ramsey 46.7

Loyalty has nothing to do with WINNING football games. The 'Skins are a business, not a local club league.

Agreed, the job is yours to earn in preseason, you either earn it or you don't.

At least let him start and play one game is all I'm saying - Plus he's cute!!! Everyone said the same thing about Trent Green too. I say go with the young kid. Although I too was impressed with Hasselbach in preseason too but he's not as cute and wasn't whacked around all season like Ramsey.

He did start and play one game.....last year. When he sits on the bench you'll get a better look at him anyway.

this is true... I get a full frontal unfettered view of him as he stands on the sidelines next to the coach the entire game. :cheesy:

Patrick Ramsey cannot move to save his life; that is the reason for the sacks. His legs seem to be weighted down by cement or something. I am damn glad that Brunell will be starting this season.
