People Are Dying in Nursing Homes - Why aren't They Being Closed Completely?

Also, to visit said health department and set up a streaming video of every office to the cloud so that we the people can ensure that they are following the health protocols every second of every hour they are on the premises.

That thought crossed my mind but there is this...
General Hours of Operation
The St. Mary’s County Health Department main office is currently closed to walk-in clients.Appointments are available for select services and community members may call or email the office for more information.

In addition, file no trespassing charges as well. Since every business has the right to deny service to anyone for any reason.

During my first encounter with the health department employees over the summer, I asked if I could serve them a no trespassing warrant and they said no, they could come in anytime since they were government agents.

I was referring to when they are not acting under the color of authority. Aka, a plain 'ol off duty civilian. Publicly ostracize their asses.

Let's start the moat...Smith Creek to St. Jeromes......we know people with excavators and farms that would be willing to put in a big ditch to drain some of this friggin water...

I attended a craft fair in Mechanicsville earlier today. 100's of people wandering around outside, some wearing masks, others not wearing masks (such as myself). Fast forward to the indoor tasting room (and the spirits were tasty), people shoulder to shoulder waiting in line for samples. No masks while drinking, for obvious reasons. Just my two pennies worth, that is all.
It was good to see so many freedom lovers out and about supporting local businesses.

So people are dying in nursing homes from the sweet-n-sour sickness right here in St. Mary's County. Is Dr. Brewster from the Health Department threatening to close them down and move all patients to another location? I imagine no visitors are allowed in nursing homes and all staff are wearing masks to protect the patients, so why are patients still dying if masks work?

I just had a pic sent to me of the line at Walmart today - there is not 6' between the people standing in the two lines. There is actually only 7 and a half feet between the candy racks where the lines are. As of Sept 9th WalMart had not received an order to comply like myself and 6 other businesses in the county had. There were almost more people in those two lines in that picture than I have in my store in a 10hour period.

But Dr. Brewster has deemed Ridge Hardware an "unreasonable risk of exacerbating the spread of Covid" because 2 of my employees don't wear a mask, but limit exposure to customers and stand behind plexiglass at the register, so Ridge Hardware must close down, even though 3 of the 4 zip codes we serve have NOT recorded at least 8 cases to show up on the SMCHD map. And no one has died in my store from COVID!

These pictures are from August when they tried to close us the first time.

Day 1 - Saturday Morning - Me being served an order to comply.

Day 2 - Sunday Afternoon - Dr. Brewster in my store NOT observing the social distancing guidelines. I thought masks were NOT a substitute for distancing...

Day 3 - Monday Afternoon - Health Department employees and deputies inspecting my store for compliance. Apparently I am such a danger to society that it took TWO sheriff's deputies to come down to protect the health department employees. Is this a good use of the sheriff's office resources.

Wake up people and start fighting back!!!

Ridiculous. Why isn't this being enforced in Walmart and the other big stores.

I would venture to guess that Lowes gives them lip service, pays the fine and moves on vs being a butthole about it.

Sometimes it's easier to just shake your head yes and move on.
When I went in today, found out we've had our 3rd positive in the last month by seeing the little signs the overnight, 3rd party cleaning crew puts out. Lowe's itself does NOT inform either employees or the general public.

I
I may need a rain check on that. I've got something going on right now - sore throat, icky stuff that won't come up and won't go down, cold nonsense.

I was hoping you'd have icicles and window cleaner but I think Ace hardware in Leonardtown may have them. I don't know what's up with window cleaner, everywhere I went yesterday...nada. Got that spray bleach stuff - haven't seen that in months, got Lysol spray something - bought that - don't know what the hell to do with it. I mean seriously have you ever read that label. Spray it on something that you want to kill germs on and wait ten minutes for germs to die. TEN MINUTES!!!! Who in the hell has ten minutes? It does have a nice scent. Linen. You can't clean windows with it though. I really need window cleaner. It's like everyone in the whole area decided to clean windows this weekend or something. I must have missed the memo.
I will literally trade you half a bottle of Windex for some gotdamn lysol :lmao: Haven't been able to buy more since March. I might have closer to 3/4 of a bottle of windex. But I love lysol spray, esp. with a little one. I spray down his toys and items at the end of the day as just about everything is a teething toy right now. Saves me from having to wipe it all down by hand. Plus I spray the mattresses and pillows down when changing the sheets, and door handles, etc. It's just an aerosol germ killer.

Just sneakin' around....
I found some spray disinfectant at Giant 2 weeks ago, got 2 cans. Smells different, a little stronger, 70% isopropyl, hope it works as well. Only use it on my masks.

Giant also had 33 oz bottles of Purell hand sanitizer. The "good stuff".

I like the Windex Foaming cleaner, and it's not as easy to find, so I had some from before last year.

Roll your window down on the way in to work tomorrow and I'll toss it through.

What could possibly go wrong?

I only bought it because everyone else was buying it. So far I've read the directions, sprayed it once at the bird (that was an accident) (although he's quite smelly sometimes) (I think it's the broccoli) said ohhhh linen. And that was about the highlight of it.
I've been banned from base because we had the audacity to travel outside the state for Thanksgiving  I'm surprised Windex has been hard to find. I barely use it as I use microfiber cloths instead.
