Chevy Chase is a fairly large area, and I am certain your observations don’t represent all CC residents. I know at least one family that had a house on that strip at PP AND a house in Bethany. Lots of money up in that area.
If you knew them, Probability Bethany West.

I'm sure there are digs going back-n-forth between HH and BD, but they're flying over this hill monkey's head. :lmao:

Man the partys off Brickyard rd, and off Western Ave.
My older sister dated a Wheaton greaser, he rode a Triumph 750 Bonneville. I was riding a Rupp I had one day when he showed up, he said climb on and im gonna change your life. Old Gtown rd to 270 spur, it changed my life.
He was a good friends with Sonny Routt.
If your out there Richard Eckart, Thanks.

Oh crap...my 750 Bonneville was a ramblin' wreck around 1974... ran great but lost third gear. Then it lost second gear...I traded it and a couple hundred bucks for a '68 Honda CB 750...and so on...

My best deal was the 75 bucks I spent on a 350 Benelli one-lunger...although the pair of Ossa Pioneers were a close second..

Pioneers look like a Bultaco with a funny tank.
Great motorcycle. lol
I was given the opportunity to take a new Ducati Supperleggera?? at our Eagles Car Bike show this summer. 220+ hp and like 70 grand. If I had your money I would sell that old Pantara and get me one......
I never went past 3rd gear.
That bike is a f'ing Beast.

So much fun, that guy my sister dated was a leaner, thats why I still love FX's. No chicken strip on my rides.
My first big boy bike was a 650 Tiger, and the on off on off on off of Lucas and zeniers.
Then in 1975 a 71 xlch and a year or so later a 69 xlc. Wish I still had that one.
In 1980 a new FXS 80 shovel. It was out last week.

I wish I had that xlc, i'd give it to my kid.

. If I had your money

I regret selling or trading a lot of the cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles I've owned at one time or another. The Norton 850 for one....or the BSA 500. I was seriously contemplating stuffing that 500 engine in one of the Ossa frames (I'd fallen in love with the Clews MX bike) but ended up trading the BSA and some $$ for a '74 Kawasaki Mach III Death Machine. I had a Montessa 125 that I raced for a while...

A kid in my HS had a 850 Commando and a BSA Victor 441.

So...we've gone from a good part of them folks on that strip, down to....one family.
And something tells me you really didn't even know them...
