Never said there wasn't, but before any came out she was against it and had no scientific reasoning.

I don't need "scientific reasoning" to do basic math and use basic common sense.

And now there is scientific reasoning....sooooo.....guess I was right (again), eh? I just got there sooner than most.

By a vote of 3 - 2, Charles County commissioners voted this afternoon NOT to re-open. …. For one thing, they're afraid that restaurants, businesses, and churches in Waldorf would be deluged by Prince Georgians whose businesses are still closed.

They voted 3 - 2 to re-open on May 29.
Because we get all the criminal trash here from Charles and PG County, I guess that is why.

Which medical professionals? Because a whole ton of them are saying this is bullshit and that the restrictions are ridiculous.
:yeahthat:

This is why I posted the article by Dr. Scott Atlas in this thread and HERE

There ARE a ton of doctors who believe that there is a virus, it is more contagious than the flu (in some cases), more dangerous to some demographics of people (depending on their underlying medical conditions) and at the same time, it's not affecting certain demographics of people in any signifcant way, that some people never even know they were affected and that you should "sanitize", wash your hands, cover your mouth, yada yada yada to mitigate the spread of it. (the same things that are recommended to do for all viruses and general cleanliness)

Those same doctors disagree on all these restrictions, especially as we began seeing in hindsight that the restrictions did not change a lot of the statistics.

What a lot of us are saying is - do your mask if you want to. Stay home if you have to. Just don't go all Mrs. Kravitz on those in society who don't want to wear the mask or don't want to stay home. If someone is standing too close to you in line (mask or not!) just turn around and ask them to move back. I do that already. (well, I turn around and look at them and if they don't get the hint - then I ask)

If you want to patronize a business and it seems dirty to you - don't go in. If you want to eat at a restaurant and they're packed in like sardines and you don't want to rub elbows at a table next to you - ASK TO SIT SOMEWHERE ELSE or don't go in.

People used to have the free will to vote with their wallet. Now we don't because the Mrs. Kravitzes of the world are taking over. That's pissing off the majority of this country.

Anyone catch Heather & T-Bone this morning. Had a guy on who started the protest over the 3-2 vote in Charles.
All the "experts" that testified said it was good to go, the 3 who voted against opening cited only one reason, to stand with our brothers and sisters in PG county.

While no evidence exists, not even the Sheriff can find it, they still accused the group that voiced their displeasure with the vote of being racist and making threats. The local version of Al Sharpton apparently comes out the winner. Once again, you can only be critical of what a straight white man does, otherwise you should be arrested.

Add this to the 101 reasons to keep out of Chuckles County and take my business else where.

And there you have it. People have always had the freedom to stay in their home. It's just now they're demanding that everyone do it and turning into little tattletales. "Teacher! Billy's not wearing his mask!"

Apparently Ocean City was a madhouse over the weekend - people all over:

Yet the person interviewed for the story is a Karen fretting that people weren't all wearing masks. "I'm scared, so you people should all wear a mask to make me feel better!" If he's scared, he should stay home and not expect everyone else to cater to him.

What's hilarious is the blocking of certain benches on the boardwalk - you can sit on this bench, but not the one next to it. It would have made more sense to simply move the benches further apart. These "officials" with precisely zero common sense - yeah, these are the people the virusphobes consider the experts in health and safety.

Does it hurt me to wear a face mask to put others at ease?

And last but not least:

So the answer to your question is: Yes, it can hurt you.

If they are dumb enough to wear a mask in their car, I only hope they don't hurt another.
Their death only proves Darwin was right.

My workday face mask is a bandanna, because it can just hang around my neck until a customer appears and it's needed. For non-work days, I've been using an accordion type handed out by the hospital to their patients, which I slip on to go into stores. If I need fuel, I figure I'll be outside of germ range of others and go nekkid. I got a stupid look from someone at Dash In while pumping without a mask. I gave them the best "**** you" look that I could muster.

It's interesting how different areas have different ways. In NB maybe 10% of people in the stores are wearing masks, and most of them are employees. Yesterday at Freiheit, nobody was wearing a mask. Saturday out on the river and in the Float House, nobody was wearing a mask, not even the employees.

Yet my understanding is that in SoMD, pretty much everyone is wearing their little mask and will give you the stink eye if you don't.

I've been told to leave two stores over the thing.

A couple of weeks ago, I watched our masked and gloved cashier at McKay's scan our groceries, scratch her hair, scan some more, scratch her nose under her mask, scan some more and grab her water bottle to take a swig. After we were done, she continued scanning while still wearing the same gloves.
