I think it is more of an ego cheat thing by Paris’s owner. The vibe I get is he/she does not care about the dog(s), but cares about winning. My summation is that she/he is not a true dog lover. Just my thoughts.

Clearly this is a 2 dog race. I'm curious how you came to your conclusion that the other dog's owner doesn't care about the dog. I'm sure both dog owners have used some sort of social media to reach out to strangers in order to solicit votes for their pet.
