I have to talk to my neighbors first. I like them and it would be dirty to move out and let you buy and tard up the neighborhood unless they are leaving too.

Doesn't matter as soon as word gets out it will die a slow agonizing death by red tape strangulation and be finished off by a :boo::boo::boo::boo: by the planning board.

... they said the same thing about New Jersey Motorsports Park.

They can build soundproof barriers around the complex. If they plan to keep a lot of the sorrounding trees and shrubs, that would also kill off some of the sound.

Still, hearing the people who complain about noise on the defensive is ####in' awesome.

Dear whiners,

Ha ha effing ha ha ha! :killingme  :moon: :cartwheel :dye: :roflmao:

I know, the developer could just buy the county a pool, wait, thats been done. Hmm, maybe a theatre, no, thats why they had to buy a pool......... I know, they could build a waterfront park, if only the county had some waterfront land it could use for that..........

Well, I'm out of ideas, what can a developer do to buy off the county these days?

Honestly, the economic impact something like this could have beats out the negatives.

The track will work with the County and area residents to establish ideas to reduce noise and traffic concerns.

From what I've heard, it's obtained County approval - but I haven't confirmed that just yet. Give me a couple hours and I'll piece together what I can.

Keep an eye on racingforthewin.com, any news I get I'll post on there.

There were problems with the locals opposing Shenandoah being built at Summit Point Motorsports Park a few years ago. Apparently the problems were resolved as Shenandoah is a very active race track nowadays.

You should read the Vineland Daily Journal (thedailyjournal.com | The Daily Journal | Vineland news, community, entertainment, yellow pages and classifieds. Serving Vineland, NJ). Those people whine about everything concerning the racetrack. Seeing as St. Mary's County is a lot like this place, these next few years are going to be fun. :killingme

Residents don't care about the impact it has on the economy, they just don't want any noise. :drama: Screw the attraction, they'd rather ##### about it on the internets. :cds:

I've been to the New Jersey track - the cars aren't "so loud you can't hear the TV over 'em" from a mile away. You'd have to really be trying hard to hear them from that far.

It's one thing to be upset about noise - it's another to exaggarate when it comes to something bringing jobs to a town that has been devastated by the recession and outsourcing.

I am all for it. I have been hearing about it for the last year, but haven't heard any updates lately.

Freaking drama queen :killingme Talk about "exaggerating" The per capita income here and unemployment is probably better than 90% of the rest of Maryland :roflmao:

Here that people, the economy of Hollywood and Hillville is devastated, DEVASTATED by the recession and out sourcing.

Stop it Gilligan, you are making my sides hurt.
