Just to give you an idea of how long it takes:

Monday morning around 7am the crew (4 guys) showed up to repair two downed line sections and a transformer. One section had lines tangled in a large tree and the pole was sagging, and the other had a smaller tree broken and laying across the lines but not tangled up.

They had the power restored around 3:30pm. So that's 8.5 hours to repair comparatively moderate damage, and I was impressed that it only took them that long.

So be patient, folks. I know it sucks - being without power wasn't so terrible, but I'd have been having a breakdown if I'd lost my water. They're getting everything restored as fast as they can.

I think about 6-8 crews in my neighborhood could get it up in a day.

Day 47. Still no electric. Cheetos supplies getting low. I tried to catch a squirrel to roast it on the BBQ, but it bit me. I now have gangrene and may lose a little toe. We've been promised that reinforcements will arrive soon, but we wait. In the meantime, we'll just have to be patient and watch reruns of Oprah.

Why would anyone try to catch a squirrel with their feet? Hands gull of cheetos and beer?

The one a few houses away from the school? There was a replacement pole there day after the storm, but it's gone. Guess it got re-purposed.
