I do not know if that claim is really accurate, because the Republicans might count those during the reconstruction years 1863-1877, while the Republican Party after President Eisenhower are a bunch of racist dogs and immoral warmonger.
Plus the Democratic Party after Eisenhower has become a more compassionate Party representing the better interest of all Americans.
President Eisenhower 1953-1961 was a true turning point for both Parties.
I know that your kind of whites and the Republicans like to refer to "welfare" as having some connection to the old slave plantations, but the plantations used whips and brute force against the defenseless people so there was nothing like "welfare" on any slave plantation.
I say the Republicans who want to force the very poor population into the low trashy jobs that do not even pay a subsistence is the true plantation mentality.

Yes, I really do vote.

I voted on the first chance I had when I was 16 years old and I voted for Richard Nixon (R).
It was a mistake then - as I know that now.
Later I voted for Ronald Reagan which was another mistake of mine, but I did vote.
There is the thought that the mistake was theirs more-so than my mistake, since they were the ones who betrayed us all.
That is kind-of correct and kind-of not correct, as I see that as one of those slick fancy white lies.
As in the black people are not physically or mentally less able to learn, but they are less able to learn the white teachings which are taught in our schools.
The black people do NOT learn the lies as do the white people.
There are very many African American students who drop out of school or fail at school or are put out of the various schools and Colleges based on their inability to embrace and to learn the white lies as the schools teach.
The white students seem to embrace and to learn the white lies with ease and so the white students do appear to be more intelligent and to be better learners and that is very misleading.
Many if not most white students graduate as very educated and even very intelligent bigots and racist as a result of their learning.

As to the white English - our white language has always been misused as a weapon against every other culture on the planet earth, we misuse the language to destroy other cultures, and English is a very inadequate language as most of our English words have no real meaning outside of the dictionary.
In example our English names are just sounds instead of meanings, as in other cultures and languages the person's name were to have a meaning. As like American Indian names meant things like "Sitting Bull" or "Crazy Horse" and so were African names link HERE, while the English language is militaristic and calculated without rhythm or meaning or substance.
As like the name "George Bush" then one might think he had some thing to do with a "bush" but no, and the name George has an old Greek meaning but in English it is just letters with no real meaning.
In our schools they brainwash all of the students with white-lies and with white worthless nonsense.

So you are correct that my first real vote for President would have been for Jimmy Carter as I did not like Nixon being caught doing wrong and then resigning from office, and I saw Ford as a puppet for Nixon giving him the pardon.
It is still not a lie, as I just got the time and the age and the technicalities confused and got that all wrong, but being wrong is not a lie.
