Bah.... the 19th doesn't work for me! I was hoping I could lurk and see all the forumitees.

Could you let me know about flower sales and how they work there when you go? I'm hoping to go in August to get additional flowers for a wedding (for shepherds hooks and aisle markers, etc). I've got the Weavers doing the bouquets and centerpieces - and I'm SO PLEASED with how that went - thanks to the info here on the forums for that!

The last time I went this is how it went down....

they rolled in the HUGE lots on wagons and pick up trucks over on the right and started promptly at 9am....unless you want a wagon full of watermelons....go get a seat over on the left where the small lots started at 930am.
Then when the big wagons were over the group starts working its way up and down the middle sections with the medium/big lots are. I noticed that the smaller lots were going for about what you could buy from a farmers market. Nothing special.
The middle you could get corn for about $1.10 a dozen if you were willing to buy 25 dozen.
So long story short - went to a produce auction and ended up coming home with a truck full of plants/flowers - because who the hell goes to a produce auction for flowers? (so they were sooooooo cheap)......

Left out of there around noon or so I think...and they still had tons to go.

well crap what???

we should have about 7 or so people going...so the small lot auctions will be perfect for us.

Now I notice the day you guys want to go is also a hay auction - so I really don't know how that works into the schedule.
