Geez, you're a genius. I've never owned cats before and it never occurred to me to brush them.

Guess I'm a little late in this thread, but one of my cats puked up a massive hairball last night. Must have been five inches long, I feel so bad... that must have been awful coming up.
Is shaving a cat really traumatizing? Because it seems no matter how much I brush them (and I have the Furminator), they still have issues, so I'm considering it. I've only ever seen Manny puke up a hairball, but I imagine Mittens might have an issue too as often as I'm finding them and as often as she grooms.
I'd change the food before I shaved them. JMO
Suggestions? So far I've just been mixing that hairball remedy in with their food.
Yeah, so he can run around full-time in his thong over his baby-oiled ass cleaning up cat puke. Boy is that sexy.![]()

Purina makes one, as does Meow Mix and several others. Just look for "hairball control" on the bag.
A good holistic food. Wellness, Chicken Soup, Spot's Stew. I've been using Spot's Stew (sold at Petco) for a few months. I use the Indoor Chicken formula. It's $18.99 for a six pound bag. I need to check with Clippers to see if it's cheaper there. Petco is not always the cheapest place.
Since I switched them over to holistic foods a few years ago, they rarely barf at all.
I need to check there. Queen Mildred is on a Vegitarian Formula for the past few weeks and her coat and skin is getting dry.

I was in your 'hood over the weekend....cats haven't puked in the house in years.
I found this stuff that works and I give it to them all the time. It's called;
OUTSIDE
And it's available everywhere. Cheap, too.
