I spoke to the adopter and it does sound like he picked up Kennel Cough at the Humane Society. It's sounding like they are going to keep him, they REALLY like him <G>.

I love good news!! Sucks for the Kennel Cough, hopeful it won't last long.

She was glad for me to be able to tell her he had been at the shelter so it would be easier for the vet to diagnose having that info. I told her he had been there a few days. I guess the owner didn't mention it or just assumed she knew already from me or ICit. Yes, I am THRILLED that ICit was aware of the lady and her family being open to a new edition.

Update

I just received an email from the prior owner of Bruce. She said the new owner came over to collect the rest of his belongings, and they said one last goodbye to Bruce.

She thanked me for helping find Bruce a home, and is going to send us a donation for the assistance, which I will split with ICit for helping. I'm sure she could use a few bucks toward HER rescue expenses.

PS I told the foster of the Momma/Kittens that I can get them all done at Humane Society at rescue prices. When they are being adopted (i.e. not TNR like ferals), I get them more than just spay/neuter/rabies. I usually do spay/neuter, rabies, distemper, de-worm with ivomec injection, and of course FIV/FELV test. Generally runs about $100 for females and $80 for males.

Trap/Neuter/Release

It has been adopted by many people as the preferred way to deal with feral cats, since so many people were opposed to trapping and killing them (the usual method).
