Question for the men

When women get together, even if it's just in casual conversation, and one of them is pissed at her husband for something, the other women will almost invariably go, "OMG! My husband does that all the time and it drives me crazy!!! :jameo:" and the man-bash is on.

What men do to become a topic of conversation:

  • They don't help around the house
  • They sit in front of the TV for hours on end
  • They're rude
  • Everything is "no big deal" unless it involves some sports team - then it's an ENORMOUS deal
  • They don't communicate (unless they're talking about some sports team)
  • They're slobs
  • More along those same lines

Obviously this is just general guy behavior and leaves out physical and substance abuse because women tend to not broadcast those things to their friends or acquaintences.

So my question for you guys is:

What do you all complain about women with your guy friends? You're playing ball or sitting at a bar with a bunch of buddies and one of them says, "My wife drives me crazy with this [insert complaint here]" and the rest of the guys respond with, "My wife does that all the time and it drives me crazy too!"

What are the complaints?

I have no complaints and never would complain to "the buddies" with any other problems.

In my experience, this doesn't happen.

Not much but here are a few (in order of importance to me)...

Lack of direct communication. (i.e. passive agressive behaviour, beating around the bush, etc.)
Making plans (for me/us) without telling me.
Sitting at home literally doing nothing, and expecting me to sit at home doing nothing as well.

1. They wait until that the last two minutes of an "enormously important" playoff game(pick a sport) to decide: "We need to talk".

2. They wait until your head hits the pillow to decide: "We need to talk".

B/S it doesn't happen! Men are just as bad if not worse about whining! For example; baby daddy #2 and I lived in Indian Head. His little sister and husband lived about a mile north of us and his brother and wife lived about .5 mile south. Soooo, it often time ended up the girls would go to one place and the guys another.

True story... One night above situation happened. When us girls were done at the mall we ended up at little sister's house. Little sister calls her hubby who's at the bar to let him know she was home. The boys decide to break and head home. Little sister's husband calls her and spilled all the beans on everything both brother in laws had been biatching about all night. Of course little sister tells me and the other sister in law just what our men had been whining about. We both left and headed home. I made it home before B and biatched him out for biatching about me behind my back yet never saying anything to his face. He immediately gets mad at the BIL for running his mouth to which I explain that he told his wife and she told me. He didn't tell me directly. I wouldn't have been peeved about it had he EVER said anything to me beforehand.

Anyway, that was shortly after I first moved in. The same scenario replayed itself several times while we were in Indian Head; only the players (mouth runners) got switched around.

I don't complian to other people about my wife. If I have an issue with her, I talk to her directly. I know a few people who complain to me about others' behavior but won't confront the others, and I ask them to bring the issue to the person involved instead of to me.

I don't complain about my wife to my friends, but I do hear one resounding complaint about wives from guys at work:

They complain that their blonde wives act blonde.

I guess I'm just lucky I didn't marry a blonde.

A big complaint are stories so convoluted that you have to take notes in order to follow.

The only thing I ever complain about is her not putting out or not keeping the house clean, but I don't sit around and complain to a bunch of random dudes either  Only my close friends get to here me piss and moan.

You get a penalty for breaking the rules. :smack: And here's two for the BIL :smack: :smack:

#####ing is just #####ing. Most women do it to get it out of their system and vent. When you bring it up to the guy, now it's an *issue* and potential fight. When I have a real problem with Larry, I'll talk to him about it and if it turns into a fight, so be it.

But having a #####fest is supposed to be sacred, and none of the participants are supposed to run back to anyone outside the group and run their mouths.

The guys at work complain rarely but when they do it's usually about their woment being lazy.
