Who is Pandemic? This thread is all about WildHorses.

Doesn't mean I don't get angry or upset, just don't think any human has a right to use violence against another human. For example, whoever called me a whore and gave me red obviously has no idea the type of person I am along with the one who couldn't even bring him/herself to spell out his/her vulgarity (using symbols, of course). Both are, apparently, individuals who must use force since they are obviously incapable of using words or, worse yet, taking credit for their words. :lalala:

In that case, give me your address. I'll stop by after work and clean your house out. While I'm at it, I'll slap you across the face for S&G's. Since you don't believe in violence, this should be fun.

Now, technically, that could be considered an assault (depending upon my state of mind)! :smack: Just in case anyone is keeping track. I understand it's an attempt at humor but not funny. :nono:

Sarcasm is a wonderful tool. Unfortunately, I see you completely missed my point. I love people that think words solve everything and there NEVER is a need for violence. I wonder how much they'll take before they'll figure out that some people aren't going to listen to "please stop," no matter how many times they say it.

Not everyone is naturally good and some will hurt you no matter what you say, or who you are. These people don't yield to reason or emotional pleas, they yield to force. In those instances, force is only bargaining chip you have- and you can only use what you have.

I find that pacifists have shielded lives and have never had to deal with this and are too narrow-minded to understand it. So, I explain it. Not because I care whether or not they understand, or to give them tools to deal a situation they might one day encounter, but because of the morbid pleasure I take watching their reactions.

For the record, I've got way too much to risk by committing petty crimes- no matter how fun they might sound. Technically, considering that an assualt, would make someone an idiot, and show the weakness of their mind and character.

Okay counselor,

My understanding of the definition of assault is that it is the threat or attempt to strike another, whether successful or not, provided the target is aware of the danger. The assaulter must be reasonably capable of carrying through the attack.

Given that you are on a message board using a pseudonym, how do you suspect that the attempt could be carried out as no one, or very few, know who exactly it is that you are in real life?

:yeahthat: Unfortunately, everyone on this planet is not on the same evolutionary/intellectual plane as WH.

I believe intellectual combat should be the first route. But true intelligence recognizes that other means are still on the table. Moreover, one must know when and how to employ such means.

That will not change as long as we use brains hard-wired for violence before intellect.
