So, it looks like Hurricane Fay will be a major hurricane striking Katrina-raveged New Orleans on the opening day of the 2008 Republican National Convention which will uncertianly send flashbacks of the dismal response by all three levels of government to the catastrophic big one of 2005.
If this happens, what should the Republicans do? It's inevitable for the media to play back those clips, comments and all that. If this is at the forefront in the middle of an election, John McCain may be doomed and the Republicans WILL have to counter this, even if it wasn't THEIR fault.
Personally, I hold the Governor of Louisiana, then Kathleen Blanco, responsible for putting partisan politics ahead of human lives. There's an opprotunitty for the Republicans to hit at Obama here, citing lack of experience (as such was the case with Nagin and Blanco) in times of catastrophe.
