Rock Band (360)

Well, it gets higher ratings than Guitar Hero. I've never played it. But, the on-line band feature sounds cool. I've got two that want to hit the drums and guitar... a 4th would require a new guitar for bass. I haven't even touch the drums or guitar.

OK, this post alone makes me want to go online and get a screen name. :roflmao:

I bought the Rock Band for my kids, and they already have Guitar Hero.. they can use the Guitar from GH as the bass for Rock band.. so now they'll have Guitar, Bass, Drums, and voice..

I am so very blessed
I found one last week at the California WalMart for both the playstation and xbox.

A stack of them were in the Seasonal/Christmas Holiday area on the far left of the store - go check there. You'd think that they'd be in the toys or electronics sections...but NOOOOOOOOO.

Rather than play solo mode, I tried doing the Band World Tour with a friend. First off, I have no musical ability other than to hit PLAY on the CD Player or my iTunes and my singing totally sucks (but you can sort of wing it in beginner).

Drums - Nope

Guitar - Nope

Bass - Nope

Vocals - Nope (but I can roll with it well enough to make it through some of the songs)

It's definitely a fun game when playing with others. Even though my singing was bad, my friend was too busy working on the guitar to notice. We tried "Blackened" by Metallica and I don't think we made it through half of the song before getting thrown off stage.

VERY FUN GAME!

I gave the drums another chance. Definitely an over-night improvement (if you want to call it that). I made it through about 5 or 6 songs and decided I was ready to tackle some Metallica. I was the one who was tackled. On EASY that was too much - boo'd off stage :lmao:

you dont have an xbox, nor do you play. So why do you care.

170 for all three of those those pieces and the game is pretty good, compared to the cost of real band equipment!!!!

A decent 5 piece DW drum set with cymbals and hardware $1500.
A guitar can range from $500 to $2500
Bass guitar.....
Then you need amps, mics, a PA, cableing, speakers and other hardware $5000-$10000 depending on your level of production.

So how is buying the real thing cheaper?

where did you end up ordering it from. Bestbuy is moving fast on shipping these days.

Well I got one from Wal-Mart and got home and it said PS3 on it :dork: this was Tuesday night. First thing Wed. I went to Kmart, BB, and gamestop Kmart told me to come by around 11AM on Friday. I thought I would check online once more just in case. Amazon had gotten some in because it said to get before the 25th order by the 17th (and on Tuesday it said this order will be shipped on 1/2/2008) So I got lucky with that free ship to and it will be here tomorrow since coming from PA:yahoo:
