and what is your ancestry? why do you belong here more than the next guy?

Since these people have commited no crime (well that any of us are aware of, but really that may as well apply to anyone), what have they done to deserve deportation?

edit: and incidently, you have confused "muslim" with "muslim terrorist/radicals". There are countless muslims in the United States that abide by our laws etc.

I lived there for 6 years. There are the same amount there as anywhere else. I'd wager it's more about being close to Frederick then (haha) Camp David.

They probably just want someplace quiet to practice their religion.

there are plenty there .... remember, Frederick is within spitting distance of Walkersville and it's the second biggest city in MD.

edit: and as another point, who even cares? Is it your (on anyones) business where people go to (their) church? This is a free contry correct?

Actually, you're probably right, but it's not Frederick that's the draw. More likely it's Hagerstown, where they have the penitentiary. Many inmates convert to Islam while in stir, so it makes sense that the imams would want to keep them in the fold after they're released.

From what I understand this group is a certain Islamic denomination that came here to escape persecution in Pakistan. I had heard that the gentleman trying to establish this place works at the Germ Warfare Lab at Ft Detrick. You need to pass an awful lot of clearances to get that gig!

the ones that started the mosque in Pf were mostly irainians :gasp: but i haven't heard of any plots to blow up CCNP coming out of PF.......


we have several muslims who work here, and i seriously doubt they are plotting anything other than their own enlightenment when they go to the mosque.

Knowing no more about it than that one article from the first post, it does seem to be as you describe it here. On one hand, they quote the mayor as specifically describing the problem as being that they're Muslim, and the current state of terrorism is primarily Muslim extremists - a natural fear, though not fair to the millions of non-extremist Muslims.

On the other hand, their mayor works at his feed store, not in a city hall? Sounds like a pretty small town that probably doesn't want "thousands" of people there for a convention each year, either. :shrug:
