Ok then I have to ask can we get a recipe PLEASE

Bacon Jam

3 lbs bacon, cut into 1" strips
4 large yellow onions, peeled sliced thin
8 cloves garlic, smashed and peeled
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
1 cup pure maple syrup
1 1/2 cups water
2 heaping Tbsp instant coffee
Ground black pepper to taste, but at least a tsp

  • Fry up the bacon until brown and crisp and remove it to a paper towel lined plate.
  • Remove all but 2 Tbsp the grease and fry up the onions and garlic until soft and translucent.
  • Add everything else but the bacon and boil hard for 2 or 3 minutes.
  • Lower the heat, add the bacon, and simmer until the onions are very soft and the liquid is thick - about 2 hours.
  • Let it cool for a bit, then load it into your food processor. Pulse a few times until it's a jammy consistency without too many large chunks.

Voila! Bacon Jam! Keeps for about a month in the fridge.

LOL after reading this, k?

Last night, I cooked up a steak. Put it on a plate, then placed the plate on the counter (rear of the counter closest to the wall). Realized that my clothes in the washer were done, so I left to go move the clothes into the dryer. Gone maybe 45 seconds, if that. Come back to realize that my steak is gone. Like vaporized, gone. Like, the plate is so clean that there is no evidence that a steak even sat on it, kind of clean. Yelled for Bubba, who was off playing with his racecars upstairs. Looked at the dog, and she literally had a smile on her face. Yep, the piggy doggy ate every last bit of my sirloin steak.

I had to eat a grilled cheese sammich, instead. It was delicious - esp with some yummy bacon jam on it - but it wasn't a steak. :frown:

Bless you I needed a good laugh!!! Sorry about your steak :(

ah ha ha ha, I had a miniature poodle eat a whole roast that my mom had put on the middle of the kitchen table to cool. It was just like you said, no sign of meat was anywhere.

Would THIS face lie?
Adding your flour to the sausage and grease crumbles, stirring it around to cook a bit, then adding the milk is fast and no lumps, too. :huggy:

We open a biscuit, top it with scrambled eggs, then dump gravy over the whole mess. Mmmmm MMMMM!

Talkin about scrambled eggs....I watched Paula Deen yesterday and she was makin scrambled eggs....She said do not add milk because that will make the eggs hard...She added a little water, whipped em up and added a big ole dallop of sour cream....They sure looked good when she finished....

Depends on what you want. Water makes them fluffier, milk makes them denser. I'm a milk girl, myself. My mom was all about the water.
