Thanks...I am headed out to get all straight here and once the sitter for mom gets here..she is on vacation and due back today...I am headed up to the hosp I need to meet with the nuro team dr...He did not get his trache or feeding tube moved as his fever is too high (102.6) He is still not awake and only responds to deep pain. today is day 9. They did remove his shunt (drain from head) yesterday. I am not sure what is going on with the chest tube..uggggggg..

Pasofever, prayers being said for you and your hubby. I can relate to ur situation in similiar ways. A cousin that I have been pretty close to, was struck by a car 7yrs ago. He was in a coma in what seemed like forever, tubes running everywhere, would go into more of the extent of his condition, but that is that last thing you need to hear. He survived, the docs say it is a miracle that he is still living and capable of doing what he is doing.

May the miracle of Gods working be blessed upon you and your hubby at this time. :huggy:

I never made it up to see Bill...


I was headed to shock trauma today to see Bill this am they said his temp was 105.5. We were going to meet them to discuss his condition..anyhow on the way there I got a call from the Drs office and they said to turn around and get mom and take her to the ER...she is in kidney failure...I spent most of the day at the hospital..mom is asleep now (admited to the hospital..I told her she was in a motel)..I came home to call about Bill and feed critters and I am headed back to mom...



Will this stress end??

Hopefully so, in a positive way. Someone, somewhere has a plan for all of us and each day it unfolds, whether it is good or bad we must continue to move forward. Keep your chin up and remember you have a lot of people here hoping for the best... :huggy:

I hope you ended up staying home and sleeping. A decent night's sleep may help deal with the stress of it all. I know if I were you, based on the running and such, I would just be in mechanical mode (which is probably where I would want to be), thus needing rest and fuel. And, it's going to slow down someday. Before then, you're probably going to want to make sense of your days and plan your trips and use of your friends. :shrug:

I'm sure it's a bltch, it has to be - and I'm not even talking emotional. Hang in there as best as you can.
