Does my butt look big?
I am home...Thanks Qmom and Loper for doing the barn and Giddy for picking stalls and watering earlier...

He looks awefull..They tried lowering his meds to see if he would wake up and he did not..His eyes are swollen shut and he has a fx shoulder bone some rode burn ..He will be in ICU a few days they said day 3 is usually peak swelling...He did not know I was there. I will keep you posted..

Motorcycle peeps look at the back fender..see the nut/bolt holes..he had just had that fender fixed..those holes belong under the seat..it slid around..do you think that caused the accident (ie that snapped and rotated) or do you think that was secondary to the accident?? It just does not look like a place she should have lost it...there was a gouge in the road for 100 feet at 50 feet there was a hole the size of a soda can..and he was 25-30 feet from the bike in the center of the road...

Honestly I am stunned right now..I have good friends and neighbors..the neighbors son and another neighbor found him ...(after a pedestrian found him I am told) he called home and told his mom to come get me.. they just came to the scene and he was down ...no one saw anything...anyway they came and got me and had me back on the scene before they even moved him and when they came to get me they brought a sitter for mom because they knew I could not leave her or take her in the heat..they had it all planned and got me there fast..I was happy my friend told me and not the cops coming to tell me..and I got to see him before he was flown..

I'm not seeing the holes you are talking about, but the fender is in a position that would have put it between the tire and the road. Like having your back wheel lock up. If it happened before or as a cause of the accident would be speculation. The investigation should be able to tell very easily though by paint from the fender on the road and the abrasion on the fender.

Vibration could have caused the fastners holding the fender to loosen.

I woke up to the radio talking about the accident. So sorry to hear about your husband. I hope he makes a full recovery. Thoughts and prayers for him and all your family. If you need more help on the farm I'm available this week. Next week my elderlly mother flys in from FL for a two week stay with us. I can babysit also or cook dinners. My dad had althemizers and parkinsons so I have had a little experience. Looks like you have lots and lots of friends ready to help anyway you need it.
