Say a prayer for hubby

No she did not say..she said ideally he will only be there for another 7-10 days then he has to leave that facility and go somewhere else...they are having someone meet with me on rehab information. Do they try to rehab peeps if they are not awake yet??
If he is responding to painful stimuli, it is much better than not responding at all.
the rehap for somebody that is not waking up YET is to work his muscles so they dont become stiff or atropied (sp) working the muscles for him will make his return to normal much easier for him when he wakes up.

If they are moving him, its a pretty good sign that they dont have too much concern over him dying at that point. Another good thing.

Still praying for you all right now.

Is there some significance to this? Did she say one way or another?

If they respond to painful stimuli, that is a good sign. It essentially means he is not in a deep coma and his chances of a recovery are better. It also shows he does not have paralysis since he has feeling. Make sure they are checking feet for painful stimuli and not just the chest.

that doesn't sound good. :frown: sounds like long term care facility.

Sadly, depending on who is paying for his care, there are restrictions on how long he can be kept somewhere if there is nothing more they can do. I don't mean that he is dying, just that he doesn't require the "critical" care so the "payor" (insurance company, etc) will not allow the patient to remain. The next logical step would be a rehab facility or nursing home (depending on what his needs/expectations are) that can see to his needs.

He is diabetic with PID (?) anyway he has terrible feet pain..he sits on the side of the bed and rocks literally for hours...

Only PID I know is Pelvic Inflamatory Disease, and I don't think he has that. I'm not sure what you are referring to here. Could it be diabetic neuropathy? Anyway, when they check his feet, they will just pinch the top or run a ink pen down the bottom to see if he has reflexes.

It looks to me that the top of the fender is on the bottom of the tire in the picture and it looks as if it rubbed the ground or rubbed on something. If it came loose and traveled back under the tire that would certainly lead to control problems.

Still praying for his recovery, I don't pray that much anymore so when I do I think God listens. He listened when my brother was in a motorcycle accident right after he graduated high school in 1976. I prayed like I never prayed before and he made it. He broke almost every bone in his body and took over a year before he could get out of the wheel chair, almost lost his arm and had some brain damage in the personality part of the brain, is partially disabled to this day but went on to be able to work fixing small engines and get married. My parents had left for a second honeymoon in Hawaii the day before it happened. They got to spend the night and had to fly back the next morning. They planned on going back years later after they sold their part of the farm around me. By that time, my dad was diagnosed with Parkinsons and a year later with Altheimzers so it never happened. If it wasn't for good friends, family and neighbors they wouldn't have been able to get through that year they had him at home. That is why I like helping others so much I've seen first hand what simple acts of kindness can do. You must be exhausted. Please call me if you need anything to be done around the farm, I'd love to help. And I can cook. :flowers:
