You know - I only vaguely remember the Watergate hearings. I was a teenager, but not very interested --
Did they have anything resembling defense or cross examination? Or was it more along the lines of "we're going to keep asking questions until we're satisfied he's guilty"? I don't recall. I do remember during the first impeachment hearings, they had something resembling a balance, but what is similar is, the most damning evidence (which I didn't see as damning) was a combination of hearsay and opinions on what was "meant" - rather than listen to the people who WERE THERE, including Zelensky.
Frankly, the biggest thing they claim against Trump is that he "incited" a crowd to attack - even though there was nothing in the speech to suggest it - the Capitol was breached BEFORE he finished speaking and the crowds moved there. And now they're moving along the lines that this was PLANNED.
Which wipes out completely that it was spontaneous.
So you might say, oh but Trump was part of the "planning". Then why would he ask for additional security (which was turned down)? Why ask to have the national guard come - if you were PLANNING to send people in?
Their "case" makes no sense. And to me - it's rope-a-dope. While they're spinning their wheels going after Trump, the entire GOP is recruiting voters, nominating different people, and promoting other, younger leadership. If the GOP wins in 2024 and the nominee ISN'T Trump - the Dems will only have themselves to blame. They've got Trump in their head.

I was on facebook the other day and some of you may have seen this picture. It was of a girl with lipe so filled with Cologen her lips were huge. many people were commenting on it, and my comment was "if that was my daughter I would shoot the Dr. who put that crap in her lips." I got 30 days in facebook jail. Oh well it's no big deal i have served time there before.
