Trump should have said "You do Fox, I'll do ABC, deal?" He should stop going into the lion's den without getting anything in return.
She'd have tanked hard if she'd been asked any real questions and had to answer them instead of giving emotional rehearsed campaign speeches.

Overall, I swear I think Jesse Water had the best synopsis! Britt Hume is still trying to be relevant and make his path to Broadcast Heaven ...he is still PC.
Most were pretty on par that she didnt have a high bar to meet, the overall consensus is she met the low bar that was set.
I agree with Jesse. Also ... my take is high and low points for Trump. No surprises there. Kamala is still a very big c- word and basically, at her core, a prosecutor... that's how she came about this. She does not know the issues and she really has no serious plans and she's just hiding behind the bullsh*t policies that they've managed to cull together at the last minute.

Marco Rubio had some REALLY insightful things to say! He's saying that most people that watch these debates are not like political junkies, and the average American is going to look at the fact that Trump said all these things that he made comments about and she didn't answer them nor did the moderators ask her to answer them. That's going to go a long way.

And NOTHING will come of it. It's now widely known that Donna Brazile gave Hillary the questions. They even joked about it years ago, when she appeared on The Five. NOTHING happened to either of them, and Hillary still got more votes.If that is the real deal...it will come out
I don't think voters pay attention to these things any more.
After sleeping on it, I still think that Trump was Trump and didn't really veer that much off his normal style. But, when you watch her facial expressions throughout (and ABC WAS GREAT About that split screen, I'll give you that!) she was having a much harder time keeping it together and that brought out the knives in her prosecutorial style. NOT POTUS-like. She was outright Shew-like a couple of times.
She came right out of the gate as a prosecutor - her opening statement was laying out what you were going to hear FROM THE OTHER SIDE and it was her trying to define him. Project 2025, blah, blah, blah. She didn't really have anything new on him - just driving the same made up crap and digging on him.
Yeah, he took the bait a couple of times, but Trump doesn't back down.** Plus, I think he got in some great digs, if you think about it. ("I'm talking" "QUIET PLEASE" )He LET HER show herself as the Shrew she is---and he was still *mostly emotionless in the split screens!
She had a lot of horse face looks - can't wait for those memes!
Funny how her side came out RIGHT AFTER the debate and claimed they wanted another one. I find that hard to believe and I don't know their motivation.
**With Biden's debate - I honestly believe Trump tried to remain KIND-er because the contrast was so very different, and it really did show the stark difference in Biden's cognitive deficits.
